I am going to be starting a new campaign soon as the DM, and the group has requested a setting that we don't frequent (Eberron and FR) and I thought of some of my favorite books for inspiration. I just finished reading Rogues (http://www.amazon.com/Rogues-George-R-R-Martin-ebook/dp/B00IWTTPOI/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=8-1&qid=1405994824) and decided I have to run this setting so I can have Bast running about sexing the ladies up and generally being flipping awesome. And in thinking of Bast I was wondering what race/class he would be. He is of the Fae, and is quite charming, so I was leaning towards a bard, but that isn't exactly right.
Can I get some help from the Playgrounders, that love the Kingkiller Chronicle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingkiller_Chronicles) as much as I, to help stat out Kvothe and Bast?
For Bast I have gone through all the races that are Fae, but none of them seem right to me. Part of the difficulty comes from him never really being described fully yet, and part comes from the lack of Fae creatures that I can find. I have only found Killoren that are medium Fae with no HD or LA.
Kvothe is clearly a Truenamer with max ranks perform(string) and (singing), at least partially, but also very capable in combat after his training with the Adem. I could see something with Factotum in his build.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
