Patrons scramble everywhere as signal whistles go off.

Natalie scurries across the threshold and hops on her horse, galloping away in a frenzy. As you scramble to get away, you notice over your shoulder several of your other coworkers fleeing out the main exit.

Thanks to the chaos between you and the guards, it doesn’t take much to shake off the guards. Within no time, you find yourself trotting down the smelly alleyways of the Poor District, on your way to the Tourist District. But a single, presumably unarmed, person in the dark alleys of the most dangerous district in the city seldom escapes her streets unmolested. Barring your path to the main street is the hooded figure of a grinning man. He puts a pear to his mouth and takes a bite.

“And where might you be going in such a rush, sweetheart?”

Kyara keeps running a little longer after shaking of the guards just to be sure she lost them. She feels relieved knowing that her coworkers got out safely but is annoyed that she had to run once more. As the adrenalin lessens Kyara feels the sting in her injured shoulder. "I need to look at that later" She mutters to herself while rubbing her shoulder.

A bolt of joy runs trough her veins as she feels certain she lost her pursuers and found some privacy to change her appearance. But the moment of joy was short-lived as the hooded man appears and bars her path to the main street. Slowly she check out the stranger before responding to him. "I was going that way." She points past the man "But someone is blocking my path." She lowers her hand and places it on one of her daggers, while having no intention to get in an other fight tonight Kyara realizes that appearing unarmed could prove more dangerous. "I would appreciate if you would let me pass as I am running late as it is."

Whether you go left or right to get past him, he continues to block your path. “I’m afraid you’ve forgotten to pay the toll or show the mark.” He takes another bite of his pear, trying to look calm, but his demeanor suggests that he’s ready for a fight.

Kyara suddenly stops moving as the man keeps blocking her way and just watches the man. As soon as the man mentioned a mark a small grin appears on her face.

She glancing over her shoulder to check if no one else where in the alley she says in a lower tone "Did you just ask me for the Mark?" She pauses for an awkward silence while shaking her head "You are completely clueless on who I am aren't you? I did intent to let you get away with your ignorance but now... "

You’ve got his attention. The man’s eyes narrow as he examines you further. He’s more hesitant and doesn’t completely block your path, but you can tell he’s conflicted about letting you through.

“So… so you’re with the guild then?”

Bardic Knowledge results:
Some lower level guildsman of Stiletto will often work as thugs, pickpockets and extortionists. They're rarely the best or brightest, and are always the lowest ranking members of the group. Most of them are commoners or warriors, though a few of them will have enough combat training to be low level fighters, urban rangers or rogues.

She takes a single step closer and snarls at the man, "Are you going to let me pass? You know how they get when you are late and I will blame you for this delay." Not waiting on his response she puts a hand on his shoulder and pushes him aside in an attempt to exploit his hesitance to pass him.

If he resist Kyara will fail as she is not putting her full force in it.

He stands aside with your push and allows you through, too befuddled to protest. The path is open, and the world around you begins to change dramatically.

The stench of the open sewers is the first to clear up. Then the streets get wider and become cobbled or even stone paved. The housing fades back, to open the way to two and three story business/dwellings. Finally, you see a sign reading “Merchant District”.

The merchant district is mostly quiet at this hour. About the only thing open tonight are taverns and inns, as usual.

The only person you encounter is a guard on his route. “Ho there, ma’am. The hour is late. All residents and travelers are being advised to remain indoors for the night due to an incident in the Poor District. Please state your business and destination.”

The change of scenery is a welcome sight after dwelling in the poor district. Glancing back into the poor district to ensure she isn't followed, she starts to smiling relieved she did not have to engage in combat for a second time before continuing.

Kyara enjoys the uneventful journey through the merchant quarters giving her time to think about what to say when she reaches the Lutes and Liars. As she passes a large tree she is stopped by a guard.

"Good evening sir. I haven't been able to sleep tonight and I was hoping I could get some sleep after a long walk." She pauses for a moment 'Is he talking about the bar fight?' "Troubles you say? What happened, did a bar fight escalate?"

Wonderful picture you added!

The guard shrugs. "Not to my knowledge. But there are rumors of another arcane caster going berserk. We had an incident in the Poor District tonight. Perhaps I can escort you somewhere. Are you a resident here, or are you staying at one of our taverns?" His demeanor suggests that he's trying to help, but there's a subtle hint in his tone that wandering about alone will not be tolerated.

Mavame

"Oh dear, I better hurry back if arcane casters are going mad." Grabbing the guards arm "Please walk with me I would feel much safer with you on my side." looking in the direction she came from "You think those caster are coming this way? Is there anyway I can recognize a crazed caster?"

As she tugs the guards arm gently as she starts her way further towards the Lutes and Liars "Tell me what is your name brave knight?"

Does Kyara know of a tavern close to the lutes and liars if not she stops at the first tavern they encounter.

The Lutes and Liars is a famous tourist attraction in the city. You know that you still have quite a walk ahead of you to get to the Master’s Theater where the Lutes and Liars reside, because you have to cross the entire Merchant District and get to the center of the Tourist District. A long walk like that may draw more curiosity from the guard.

Your call… all the way to the Master’s Theater, or first inn you see? Or something in between? You have a cursory knowledge of the Merchant District and can move about well enough on the main streets. You know that between here and the border of the Merchant District, there are two inns.

Half way will do. Kyara tries not to get to many questions. She might ask the guard for more information about the troubles in the poor district.

The soldier laughs humbly. “I am no knight madam. Just a humble guardsmen. The name is Guotin, madam. And I wouldn’t worry too much about casters around here. Our patrols are working day and night to keep the streets clear. Tonight, however, there was a sighting of some nightmare creature out in the poor district attacking the residents. Usually, when something like that happens around here, it is the result of dark magic.”

You can get a closer look at him. He seems to be fairly average for a local of Hemponaland. The shape of his eyes and his name suggests he has native heritage, but his accent is nearly non-regional, a growing trait amongst the residents of the melting pot nation. His eyes are kind, but his jaw is strong. He seems like a good-natured and well-intended person: one with honor and courage.

“We’re keeping a curfew tonight as a precaution, nothing more.” He concludes with a reassuring smile.

After several minutes, you make it to the Lucky Kitten Inn. It’s one on of the more reputable lower priced hotels in the Merchant District. You recall that the place remains fairly packed with low level adventurers, so weapons are tolerated if they remain sheathed, and the bartender is not above knocking out a few teeth if someone gets too rowdy. The inn is owned by a sweet old lady with a strange pet.

"I presume this is where you are staying the night?" He inquires as you slow near the Lucky Kitten.

As soon as Guotin mentions nightmare creature she steps a little closer. "Nightmare creatures in the poor district? That .. that is awful. And you sounds like it isn't the first one either, so even if you aren't a knight I still think you are a brave man Guotin. Protecting us from things like that""

She nods to his inquiry while looking at the hotel "Yes, this is the place. " Kyara leaves Guotins side and takes a few steps towards the Lucky Kitten before she turn having a small smile. "Thank you, for your company. And maybe I'll see you again." She quickly rushes inside 'This isn't what I intended but sleep is nice about now and tomorrow I would not get much attention walking the streets'

You step into the Lucky Kitten. The lobby, which is normally crowded and noisy, is mostly still and solemn. Only two patrons haunt the far corners of the bar as they sip from their respective beverages and scrape at their plates of hot food.

The bartender is a beautiful woman whom you do not recognize. She appears to be in her early thirties, with threads of gray woven into her long, dark hair. Her lips are plump and she offers a friendly smile to you as she continues to polish her bar.

There is a stage in the center of the room for music, but the band has clearly packed up for the night. Luxurious, winding staircases lead to the domiciles on the second floor.

There is a sign next to the bar in Common and Elven, advertising the House Special, promising that it “tastes wonderful.” The empty tables are clean and polished, and the curtains are simple, but made of a thick fabric of obviously mid-to-high quality. There is a sign pointing to the lavatories, which suggests that this place, unlike most of the inns and taverns in the poor quarters, has indoor plumbing.

When you approach the woman, she greets you again. “Welcome to the Lucky Kitten, madam. Do you seek food and drink, or would you prefer lodgings for the night?”

Mavame

She stops for a moment to look around after she entered the hotel, taking a longer look at the stage 'Interesting'. After scouting her surroundings she continues to the bar.

“Certainly miss. We have a lovely single room available for you on the second floor. It comes with a large feather bed, wash basin and bath tub. We also have a resident stablemaster available if you have any animals waiting outside that need tending. The price for one night will be 5 silver.” She pauses, “and I believe we have a few luxury rooms available if you prefer finer accommodations.” She smiles disarmingly, believing that she has guessed your price range by the quality of your clothing.

Mavame

While she does intend to take the cheaper room she waits for a moment staring at the bartender but realizes that the bartender isn't going to tell more about the luxurious rooms. "And what will better accommodation offer me?" Trying to sound a little irritated even while the standard room would do.

She tries to act slightly offended that the bartender did not elaborated the more expensive rooms in order to haggle something off the price.

The woman acknowledges the offense, but maintains a professional demeanor. “I’m so pleased you asked, miss. We only have luxury suites available at the moment, but they will cost three gold per night. They come with a separate lounge including a stock of our select wines and fine spirits, stylish furnishings and drapes, a warm fireplace and a thick hide rug. The bedrooms come with two beds, a water clock, decorative lighting, a large window for a lovely view of our beautiful city, and for an extra charge, a personal servant to tend to your needs. A separate water closet is also fully furnished for all your personal grooming and hygienic needs. Luxury singles, when available, will come with similar amenities, but without the separate lounge. Shall I have a suite prepared for you?”

You suspect that either she's overselling the room, or she cut you an incredible deal. Compared to what you've been living in, the luxury suites sound like a royal suite in a palace.

Mavame
2014-07-28, 05:47 PM
She nods slowly "Well that is more to my liking, especially the suite. I'll take the drinks are on the house that I would find in the suite." She pauses shortly deciding if she is getting a fair price

“Please accept my humblest apologies for my presumptuousness along with a glass of our house special, free of charge, of course.” She says with a practiced curtsy and a warm smile. It’s clear that the staff here is significantly better trained than at the Ale House. She quickly pours and places the mix in front of you. It is a medium brown colored elixir with a syrupy texture and a pineapple slice on the edge of the glass. The drink smells somewhat like milk and the glass is cool to the touch.

“A complimentary bottle of wine is kept chilled in the luxury suites, but the rest are billed to your room. Will you require any assistance with luggage or laundry services? Our maids are finishing up for the night, but I can have your linens cleaned and pressed by morning, and I can have your armor polished and conditioned for you as well.”

Mavame
2014-07-30, 04:43 PM
While feeling tired and having the idea she can't easily haggle more off the price she settles for the drink offered by the bartender. "Now that is is looking better" She says with a little smile. "About the room I would like the suite, no servants i just would like a peaceful evening."

"Certainly, miss. I'll have out maids draw your bath while you enjoy your drink." She curtsies one more time, drops a tag into a chute, and pulls a string. Then she turns again to face you with a gentle smile and pulls out her log. "Your room is being prepared. It is a corner room just upstairs and to the left. Look for the door with a lion's head emblazoned on it."

The drink is positively delicious, refreshingly cool and not very strong.

She pulls out a quill and begins to scribe. "That will be three gold pieces, miss. Oh... and I'm afraid I didn't catch your name, miss."

"I didn't gave you my name, but miss Dragonscharm will do for now." She replies with a smile and gets the three gold pieces from her pouch and places them on the bar. "Let me know when my room is ready."

She picks up her drink and walks away to sit at a free table near the stage facing the door. She slowly raises her glass and takes a sip savoring the taste for a moment.

She scribes your name into the log and bows when you walk away to sit.

The lounge is quiet enough. One of the patrons in a corner of the room subtly lifts his glass to you and nods, then takes a sip. After a few moments, a young gentleman walks up to you, wearing servant attire and bows. He then shows you to your room.

Strolling up the sweeping staircase, you can see the faded glory on the worn banisters. No doubt, this was once the premier hotel in the district, but time has taken a bite on the location's youth. Some of the wood is scarred and chipped and the stairs creek as you walk. The stone walls are blackened from smoke and body oil contact and cracked here and there.

You enter the hallway, a long narrow stretch of rooms on either side that forces you and the servant to walk single file. You notice the man has a funny walk: taking awkward, short but quick steps, he almost seems to scurry. His arms stay close to his side as he walks and never sway. His hair is short and dark, slicked straight back and pulled into a pony tail. "The hotel was founded by Master and Madam Aelaikla as the Happy Jester, nearly 150 years ago as a place to settle after a life of travel and adventure. Sadly, though, Master Aelaikla fell ill in the twilight of his years and the cost of his medical care forced them to sell to the current owner, the venerable Mistress Amami 70 years ago, who promised to care for the family until their peaceful passing. As a gift for keeping her promise, she was bequeathed a litter of Tressym to her, which she has been breeding ever since." He points to the end of the hall, where there is a painting of a Tressym.

http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080724204112/forgottenrealms/images/thumb/c/cf/Tressym.jpg/250px-Tressym.jpg

"This was the mother of that litter. After the passing of the original owners, she renamed the place to the Lucky Kitten and has been running it ever since with the same care and love the Aelaikla family ran this fine establishment with. Ah... and here is your room, ma'am." He fumbles with the keys, then unlocks the door, then hurries in to light some candles to illuminate the room.

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img824/9925/cameresuccubi.jpg

The bedroom is cozy, clean and luxuriously furnished. The lounge is about half the size of the bedroom, but similarly decorated. As promised, a bottle of chilled wine is waiting for you in the lounge on a table, as well as a small box full of tobacco and a small bowl of fruit. The servant pulls the drapes open to reveal the night sky, dusted with stars and a half-moon. "Will there be anything else that you require madam?" He inquires politely with a slight bow.

She finishes her drink as the servant comes to guide her to her room, listening quietly to the history about this hotel. Taking a long look at the painting "That is a remarkable creature, I can't say I have seen something quite like it before."

Taking a moment to let the servant light some candles before stepping in. She nods approvingly as she looks at the rooms. Finally she steps next to the man as he opens the servant. "That is a nice view wouldn't you agree." She gets a silver coin from her pouch and hands it to the man "Could you ensure I will be left alone?".

As soon as the servant leaves the room she opens the wine bottle and takes a sip deciding to finish it while taking bath to freshen up after the work at master Grundy's Shoppe. After she empties the bottle of wine she heads to one of the beds for some sleep,

You walk down the hall to the main lobby, when a flash of fur falls from above. A kitten Tressym lands at your feet, eyes focused on a bug trying desperately to escape the curious feline.

Batting and rolling to try to trap the beleaguered roach, it bumps into your shin, shakes its furry head, then stands on its hind legs with its forepaws held high.

You don’t successfully hold the Tressym’s attention long as the roach uses the moment to scuttle away into the seams in the wood. The Tressym hops a few times, then with a flutter of its wings takes an unnaturally long pounce to attempt to close the distance between it and its prey. Now scratching at the seam in the floor in vain, it seems to have lost all interest in you.

You make it down the hall without any further interruptions, to find that tables are being cleaned and set for more customers. It seems to be fairly late in the morning, so most of the patrons have gone out for the day, but there is still a minstrel softly strumming a harp on the stage while patrons enjoy their meals.

When the waiter returns with your food, he bows in response to your question. "Kobolds, madam. Every year they are hunted for their leather and to control their population near the Crags of Ranador. Many would-be adventurers cut their teeth on the experience."

Your meal is quite delicious, and not too heavy for the warm summer weather. You set out on your journey to the Temple of Pelor.

The streets are getting much busier in the Merchant District, and your senses are filled with sights and sounds of prancing jugglers, barking vendors, giggling children, haggling customers and the clamor of various conversations, arguments, or random laughter. The air is a bit acrid with the smell of spiced meat, herbal medicines, dirty peasants, perfumed ladies animal smells and a variety of foods, both raw and cooked. A monk stands on one hand on a street corner next to a clay bowl. The bowl has several copper pieces in it. A few blocks away, a political activist speaks out against social class injustices. Within the same block a couple of entertainers perform a classic romance song about the love between an elf maiden and a human prince, one tapping away at a bodhran while the other strums a lute and sings.

You finally make it past the enormous Merchant District and head toward the border of the Royal District ant the Tourist District. It's easy to find the Temple of Pelor. It's one of the largest and most opulent structures in an already gawdy district. Airships provide a direct route from the upper levels of the monolithic structure to the Royal District.

When you approach the steps you are greeted by a priest conservatively, but elegantly dressed in mostly white clothing. He smiles warmly at those who pass him by and bows to those who respond. "Welcome to the Temple of Pelor. Please come inside to receive blessings within our sacred halls. May Pelor shine his wisdom and warmth upon you!"

Finally she moves away from the cathedral of Pelor heading towards the Lutes and Liars feeling defeated for not finding her sister. On her way she is pondering about a way on how to get a message to her sister without drawing to much attention to herself.

When looking at the crowd does she notice any locals that would appear to come here often other then the priest, like vendors, beggars or orphans?

The Temple of Pelor is probably the most visited site in Ibra Down. Travelers, merchants, mercenaries and other vagabonds frequent this place when they are in town, but so do most of the locals... especially farmers, fisherman, politicians and beggars.

It isn't a long trip to the Master's Theater. You take a few turns, past yet more street vendors, performers, beggars and bourgieousl to finally wind up in front of yet another impressive sight... the Master's Theatre!

Kyara hesitates for a moment deciding if she should give her real name or a false one. "It is Kendra my dear and for lets put playing the lute as my talent for now.".

She takes a breath and looks around "Could you tell me which way i need to go for the audition?"

It takes her several long moments to respond do you, but then she smiles and demurely replies, "Down the hallway, third door to the left, please. The blue one."

Your path takes you to a blue door with a strange, faint glow around it.

"Thank you" she replies to the gnome and heads the way the gnome pointed. Taking out her lute to starts tune it while moving down the hallway only stopping at the other doors for a moment to listen.

Before entering the blue door she waits until she is satisfied her instrument is tuned to her liking.

Your lute sounds pretty good. The intonation may be a tiny bit off halfway up the fretboard, but that’s not something that can be fixed right now. Pulling the string if you have to move up the neck should adjust for that.

You walk inside an opulently decorated room where a gathering of high-ranking entertainers are gossiping and generally enjoying themselves. The one sitting at the table is clearly performing illusory antics to aid in his own storytelling.

The elf woman with the silvery hair stands to greet you and curtsies politely. “Welcome to the Master’s Theatre miss. You are here to show us your talents?”

The rest of the group quiet their tones, but continue to talk amongst themselves, occasionally glancing over at you.

Kyara takes a moment to check out the entertainers and stares a bit longer at the man using illusions. "Impressive" Then she turns to the woman with silvery hair "Yes I am here to show you some of my talents."

She pause for a moment to look at her lute and introduces her self "My name is Kyara and I would like to play some music for you" With that she starts to play a merry tune.

You recall a local favorite that was actually brought here from the north, a contemplative song about a legendary dragon-born warrior. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AV8DOyih7A)

As the first act of the solo comes to a close, however, they break into applause, as if they had planned on applauding whatever you did in the first place.

“Wonderful tune, Kyara. But we were hoping you would show us your real talents.” Her expression is conspiratorial, but her smile is warm enough.

The gentlemen sitting at the table looks to you, and in a strange accent says, “We just need to make sure you can keep it together. You know… your wits.” He traces a circle around his ear when he says “wits” to imply craziness.

The elf woman stiffens a bit and clears her throat, but it does nothing else to protest what the gentleman at the table says.

"You are to kind" she respond kindly while feeling disappointed as the applause did not feel sincere she lowers her lute to take a bow.

Upon inquiring about her other skills she becomes more hesitant and ignoring the gentleman circling his ear with his finger for now "My.. my real talents?" She takes a short moment to think. "I could show you a few more thing indeed, but..." She takes an other moment in an attempt to pick some more appropriate words "Can you assure me no harm will come to me for showing you it?" Now focusing on the elf woman now.

The elf woman smiles gently but leans back defensively at the dangerous question. The elf with the fiery red hair laughs at the question. “Lass… in these times, no one can assure you that. Certain death awaits all those with special talents, but here at the Theater, we can offer some measure of protection.”

Kyara closes her eyes smiles after hearing the red haired man speak. Feeling safe enough to show more then just a nice tune now some form of protection was offered she starts hitting a few string at first it seems like random chords. But soon Kyara's fingertips are glowing blue and she stops playing the lute. She opens her eyes and runs her glowing fingers through her hair turning it to a dark purple.

"Would this classify as real skills?" She asks the elf woman "Or were you more hoping for something like this?". Her smile fades and her eyes become watery as she recalls how she felt the day escaped the orphanage.

Without a sound an exact copy of Kyara appears from thin air behind the elf woman and tapping her on the shoulder ever so gently.

Kyara first casts the spell Minor Disguise (spell compendium 143) to change her hair color, 1 standard action while not being in combat she takes another action to use her trickery devotion feat.

The elf jumps a bit when tapped and turns to face your illusory doppleganger and claps joyfully. The group cheers on your display. “Wonderful!”

The elf walks up to you and curtsies demurely. “I am Drusilia. I manage costumes and makeup here at the theater, but the rest of the time. For the time being, you shall be our guest here.”

Turning to the elf woman again. "You are to kind miss Drusillia."

Drusilia guides you to the red-headed gentleman, who places a hand at the small of your back and says, “Please, walk with me,” and gestures like an escort toward the wall.

As you walk, you find his poise and walk displays the grace and posture of a gentleman of high breeding. “Welcome, my dear, to the Master’s Theater. Master Silverwater offers sanctuary within these halls for those with special gifts.” He pushes on a pressure plate and a secret door reveals itself, sliding away to reveal a warmly decorated stone hallway.

“The problem is, spies will sometimes come in to infiltrate us. As you no-doubt know, there are bounties out there for spell-casters; I, myself, am worth 500 gold to any moron brute with a weapon and flexible ethics. Some of these bounty hunters prefer to kill first and accuse us of being mad when we’re too dead to provide a contrary argument. So, we have these little auditions to find those who may need our help. The halfling woman you met near the door has a knack for identifying arcane casters and we figured you might be in need of our help.”

The secret passageway is narrow. You reach an intersection and feel a thump on your ankle. You look down to see that a wide-eyed gnome child has accidentally run into you. Behind him, his mother is trotting to catch up. Breathing heavily, she apologizes for her exuberant son, grabs him by the ear and begins lecturing him about running off alone as the two walk away. The red-headed elf smiles warmly at the sight.

“As I was saying, The Lutes and Liars offers its protection and knowledge to those who need it, under the condition that you keep knowledge of all you see here secret. If word got out we basically had an underground wizard city, the guard would reduce this place to ash before we could get the children to safety.”

There are many twists and turns as you wind through the hidden halls until you get to a dead end, marked with the logo of the Lutes and Liars. He presses another secret panel and the wall fades and becomes transparent, but still solid. He nods as if deciding something, then pushes another panel and the wall slides away. You enter an elegantly decorated room with soft daylight and a gentle breeze washing over the floor. “If you wouldn’t mind waiting here, a few others will join you soon. When the others arrive, we’ll answer any questions you may have.”

A young woman and two other men are waiting on a large sofa, engaged in a hushed discussion. A dwarf sits on the floor next to a wall reading a book. His spectacles droop low over his nose and his beard completely covers his mouth, giving him the appearance that he has no lips.

"Yes I have encountered those bounty hunters who like a quick penny, more then I would have liked. Ad 500 gold pieces is more then some people would ever get in a life time, these are bad times to us gifted indeed."

Smiling comfortingly she replies "Don't worry about it, no harm was done." She quickly turns her focus back to the red haired elf. "Wait .. What ...A whole city?" Amazed by those words Kyara stops talking and just tries to take all in as the journey keeps on going withing the hidden halls.

As they enter the it is quite clear that Kyara is impressed by this huge hidden complex. "I will not be going anywere right now." She replies to the elf, after a moment she says to the others "Hello.'

Amazing post, I didn't expect a city of sorts.

“Well, forgive me a few small embellishments. It’s best for everyone if you don’t know how many people we provide protection to, but suffice it to say, we do our part.”

The dwarf looks up from his reading and notices you walk in. “Good day, miss. I’m Eberk, of the Lutgehr Clan.” He closes his book and puts it in a bag, then stands and offers his hand in greeting. “And who might you be?”

His dwarven accent is nearly gone except for an occasional roll of the “r” sound.

The dwarf is unknown to you, but his clan is famous for making magical arms and armor, so many arcane and divine casters live within their mountain kingdom, Thautam's Anvil, located in the northernmost civilizations of Hepmonaland. Their clan maintains neutrality in matter of war and politics, and are often criticized for being war-mongerers because of their tendency to provide weapons to both sides of a war, unless one side is willing to pay for exclusive rights to their superior weaponry. However, little has been heard of from the unusual clan since the madness began plaguing the continent. Some speculate that they all went mad and slaughtered themselves in a secret civil war.

"Not terribly long. And our hosts have been more than accommodating. Books, games, coffee, tea, wine, good bread and properly aged cheeses. Leave it to bards to know how to host a gathering." He says with an expression masked by his plush beard, but with a tone that implies amusement.

He sits down next to a board game. "Care to play?"

After the invite of the dwarf she sits down at the board game "That would be lovely, it has been a while since I played this one so I might be a little off my game" She looks at the pieces then at the dwarf "After you Eberk"

“Excellent game, Miss Dragoncharm! I haven’t had a challenge like that in months!”

After a celebratory toast, the red-haired gentleman shows up again and brings about 6 more people. This time, Drusilia is with him.

“Good day everyone.” she says with a graceful smile. “My name is Drusilia, and I wish to personally welcome you to the Master’s Theatre. Here, we’d like to offer you shelter and protection from those who would seek out and attack arcane casters indiscriminately. In return, we ask only for discretion regarding what you know and what you have seen here. We cannot afford to risk the safety of those seeking refuge within our walls. Furthermore, if you still wish to find work, positions are available. I’m sure you have many questions; are there any you wish to ask before we begin the tour?”
