Help with build

Ok, so I am building a Feral Totemist and was wondering how to do the damage. Feral gives me 2 claws at 1d8, while the meld Girallon Arms (bound to the totem chakra) gives 4 claws at 1d4+ 1/2 str. My question is this: Do I roll 2d8+ 1d4x 1/2 str, or do I (since in feral is state that I have claws already, then I do the better base damage) deal 4d8 +str?

This has been debated a few times, and there are people on both sides, but I would rule that the GA would bump to d8 as well. Savage Species is 3.0 though, so ultimately you'll need to ask your DM.

I would rule you have 2 claws that deal 1d8 and 4 claws that deal 1d4. Girallon arms say nothing about replacing claws or what happens when you already have claws.
