POLICE STATION

Inside the building there are many people at various desks. They all have something in common, a badge. This badge certifies that they are members of a squad developed and devoted to doing just one thing, stopping crime. They are the Town Police.

As you walk into the foyer you can see a large doorway on the right in what you're sure is an outside wall. Looking through it you can see a set of metal stairs leading down to some more cells. A sign above the doorway says Cell Block Extension. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17677) A sign over the front desk reads "Amulets of Trueseeing in Operation. Please leave Lies and Illusions at the door." Behind and to one side of the desk in Captain office.

I will update this as often as I can, but please remember that it may not be current.

The Rules:
If anyone (even a citizen) gets evidence on a crime, and are able to track down the criminal, then they can arrest him. The suspect will be in jail for a period of time according to the crime, after which the criminal will be released back into town. Due to rights for a speedy trial, the criminal will be held at max for 48 hours in the station if we can't settle it in court.
When arresting, one must first ask the criminal to come quietly, and then if they do not they may subdue them, using lethal force at their discretion. Criminals wanted for murder, battery, or assault should expect lethal force to be used against them.

Parole and Weapon Restriction
Parole is served simply by being scryed on by the police for the duration of your parole. Weapon restriction is accomplished by wearing a bracelet provided by the OmniShop. This bracelet prevents you from using any aggressive magic or drawing weapons ((Aggressive magic includes harmful or unlawful uses of any magic)) The bracelet also prevents you from attempting to harm the bracelet directly or indirectly. These weapon restricting bracelets are made of adamantine and are unable to be taken off normally by anyone other than a police officer.

Internal Discipline
Officers who are discovered to be neglectful or willfully derelict in their duty will be subject to disciplinary action. Infractions last for 1 month, and on officer who commits two infractions within a month will have his/her badge taken away, his/her powers as an officer revoked, and be asked to leave the force.
To Report A Crime
Please LINK to the thread where the crime was committed. We play this as real time, so if you enter the building after the crime, all you can do is collect evidence/statements to prove the crime. Anyone may collect evidence and report crimes.

The Police Force- Current Officers and Joining the force

Joining the Force
To join the police force, either find the Captain or a Senior Officer of the appropriate department (see below) to swear you in. A police officer will receive weekly pay of 100gp, weapons (of your choice), weapon repair, and riot gear, a desk at the station, and room and board in the station barracks should they want to.
Senior Officers receive pay of 150gp each week, have authority over all normal officers, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters should the captain be off duty.
Captains recieve pay of 200gp each week and have authority over all officers, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters.

The force is divided into two departments, the Patrol and the Wardens.
The Patrol consist of those who are paid for detective work, town patrol duty, and a quick response team to back up citizens in reported fights.
The Wardens are made up of the people who jail and guard criminals, take care of legal and diplomatic matters, and scry on those people serving parole.
Each department has a separate Captain and a Senior Officer.

The badges given to the police act as badges of Trueseeing, and allow the police officer to contact any other badge-wearer with telepathy. They can either be pinned on, or aligned with the body's magnetic field to simply hold onto the wearer.
To be sworn in, you must first pass an alignment test. We accept no officers with Chaotic or Evil alignments. Once this test has been passed, the potential officer must answer the following questions in the affirmative:
Do you swear to uphold the law in this town?

Do you promise to obey the rules of the police as noted on page 1 of the police station thread?

Do you swear to the best of your ability to track and record crimes as well as apprehend and arrest criminals?

Officers who have not posted in the station within a month will be removed from duty unless good reason is given for their absence before or after said absence occurs.

Fairies Krista and Feorwyn are about the station to help take statements, open cells to release prisoners after time is served, and make fresh pots of coffee for waiting persons. Please use as you feel necessary. Feorwyn - She is pretty darn surly for a lady. Krista -she just wants to get the work done and is always running around hecticly. They feed you when you are in prision. So shut the shock up.
The station has been enchanted in the same manner as Trog's, so it may not be destroyed.

Cells
All cells in the station and the cell block are made of reinforced adamantine and enchanted to block all use of magic and psionics inside them. The cell doors are barred and have force in between them. Also an anit-agression feild is in them. You cannot attack anyone or anything while in the cell. Including yourself. Please don't try.
Whether the officer who jails you posts it or not, it is assumed that the faeries take all your equipment and store it in a security locker. It is also assumed that the door is locked when you are put in. Also you are feed.

Silas wakes up along with the gold wyrmling in his lap. She gives what sounds like a purr and climbs up onto Silas' shoulder to nuzzle against his cheek. He smiles.

The mutt wakes up and reads up some reports then leaves the station.

Silas watches the gold wyrmling as she climbs around on his desk.

Fus looks up at Silas and watches the dragon.

Silas laughs as the wyrmling attacks several papers. She falls over and looks up at Silas. He smiles and pets her, receiving more of her purring-like sound.

Fus watches silently.

[McBish]

Several faires are distracted by the cute dragon.

Silas smiles. "What's your name?"

Luminia...are you my daddy?

"No, but I plan on taking care of you."

Silas pets Luminia

Fus carries on watching quietly. He makes a face at the ultra cuteness.

Luminia continues to play around on Silas' desk as he watches and pets her.

Silas and Luminia pay not attention as the wyrmling continues to inspect everything on Silas' desk.

Fus sticks two fingers down his throat and throws up, aiming for Silas and the dragon.

The force between the bars stops the vomit from exiting the cell.

Luminia crawls onto Silas' arms and falls asleep.

Fus blinks as the sick goes into the corner of his cell. He grumbles at suddenly appearing forces that weren't there before.

The force has been there for a long time. It sometimes is ignored though. Also a fairy goes and magics the vomit away.

Fus' player finally understands, while Fus glares at everything.

[Kyrian]

Silas hears the message. "What is it, Al?"

[McBish]

Well I have two gods fighting, and a robot beating up a crazy drow.

"Lovely...I'll be right there." He gently sets the still sleeping Luminia on his chair and leaves.

Wait... nevermind. It's under control.

Silas returns to find that Luminia is awake. She talks with him, wondering where he went, and he tells her. She then goes back to playing with items on his desk.

Rizzen yawns and shifts out of a dead time induced slumber. He notices the dragon.
Finally hatched did it? Neat.

Rizzen once again resumes his subconscious dust doodling, while devouring his last reserves of jerky.

Silas sighs and stands. He takes one of the parole bracelets and alters its directions, before heading over to Rizzen's cell.

Rizzen catches the bracelet and stares at it for a moment. He slips it on, confused.

"Besides the fact I'm letting you go, though extending your parole by five days?"

[Chaotic Bob]

I was looking for more of a 'why', personally...
He stands up slowly.

Silas sighs. "I don't know, because Luminia proved to me that I do have a heart?" He looks at the wyrmling that's curled up on his desk. "But Rizzen?"

*ValKey gapes over at Silias, if she hadn't of been there she wouldn't of believed it*

Yes, Silas?

[Kyrian]

"If I find out you're murdering again, I'm coming back after you." Silas turns and looks at Rizzen, completely serious.

If it happens, I wouldn't doubt that you would. But I assure you, circumstances make the likelyhood of such an event rather unlikely. Two specific ones, actually.
Rizzen walks towards the door of his cell.

Silas steps out of the way. "The bracelet knows it has five extra days on it, just so you know."

[Chaotic Bob]

Rizzen nods and steps out, brushing the dust off of himself.

He smiles and looks around.

*ValKey looks over at Rizzen, rubbing her head sort of looking like she was in shock*

Rizzen notices that ValKey is still here and raises an eyebrow.
Didn't you say you were going on a walk? Well since you havn't left yet, do you mind if I join you?

I was, but when I noticed what Silias was doing I decided to see if my suspicion was right*she gives a little bow to him, then nods over to Rizzen*sure I was just going to head over to the forest

Silas returns to his desk, and gives a mock sigh as Luminia wakes up to play again.

Glad you stayed, otherwise I would have had to hunt you down. But, the forest seems like a fair place to go.
He turns and watches Silas and Lumina with a smile.

*she chuckles and heads off to the forest*Off we go then

Rizzen nods at Silas again and walks out.

Silas turns back to the little wyrmling, who is currently chewing on some of his paper. He smiles and gently strokes her wings, causing her to shiver slightly.

Fus wakes up and grumbles a bit. He gets out his cards and begins solitaireing.

A man wearing armor, one arm of which is turn apart. Otherwise un-hurt he walks in, his arm growing what appears to be several bony plate covering it, with multiple veins of dark energy between them.

[Kyrian]

Silas looks up. "Can I help you?"

[Penguinizer]

Is there some form of anti-magic cell? he asks. Suddenly the rest of his body starts glowing with an otherwordly light as he turns into a humanoid creature composed of bone like plates. With a pulsating sphere of dark energy where his heart would otherwise be. There are also veins of energy running through the void between the bone plates.

[Kyrian]

Silas points to an open one.

[Penguinizer]

No matter what I say. Do not let me out before I change back to normal. The creature says as he walks into the cell.

[Kyrian]

Silas shrugs and locks him in. He then turns back to playing with Luminia.

[Penguinizer]

The creature suddenly falls apart. Leaving only a large sphere of pulsating energy. About a feet in diameter floating in the air. The pieces of the bone plates then re-arrange themselves in a humanoid shape. Multiple threads of dark energy flow from the sphere. Spreading in a pattern that resembles a humans veins. Soon after this a flesh starts to grow between the bone plates. The creature attempts to conjure magic energies but finding that he cannot do it he goes and sits against one of the walls.

[Kyrian]

Silas raises an eyebrow at this, but pays more attention to the wyrmling.

[Castaras]

Fus finishes his solitaire game and falls asleep.

((Would it be possibly to call up a weapon that is bound to him inside the anti magic cells?))

(( Probably not, but I'm not sure of the mechanics. ))

Fus rolls over, muttering in his sleep.

Silas looks over at the two in cells, before turning back to Luminia, who is busy eating paper.

[Castaras]

Fus grumbles and wakes up.

Luminia breathes a tiny cone of fire, setting the paper ablaze.

Can I have a blanket? It's cold in here.

[Kyrian]

Silas finds a blanket and opens the cell. He tosses the blanket in and locks the cell back up.

Fus wraps it round himself and falls asleep again.

Narfang enters from the back room, and puts a file on the Cheif's desk, then goes and sits at his own, looking over some old archives.

Silas shrugs. "You got a letter." He opens the cell just enough to toss it in before locking Fus in again.

He picks up the letter, opens it and reads.

Luminia gets Silas' attention, and he turns to pet her.

Fus folds the letter up and goes to sleep again.

A letter floats in for Fus. A perfectly ordinary letter. No extra strings, no poison, no insanely stupid method on how to escape. A letter shaped letter.

Silas takes the letter and looks at it. "Wake up Fus."

Fus wakes up. He looks up.

Jail sentence over? I can go?

"Nope, but you got a letter."

Silas opens the cell door and tosses the letter in, shutting the cell again.

Fus opens it and reads.

Silas goes back to his desk to wake Luminia up.

Luminia jumps into Silas' lap and curls back up.

Silas notes this, and keeps petting Luminia.

Fus finishes his scribbling and folds up the note. He looks up at Silas.

Can I send letters while doing this sentence?

I'm not sure exactly. But if it's left outside Trogs they'll get it. That's what they said anyway.

Silas points to where food apparently can get in through the force shielding the cell. He opens it for a moment. "Slide it through here."

Fus slides the letter through.

Silas closes the opening up, and sends a fairy off to place the letter.

Fus sits down and takes out a pack of cards. He begins to play solitare.

The fairy returns, letter-less. ((Did you need me to actually post that the letter is out there?))

Fus carries on with his game.

Silas returns his attention to Luminia.

Fus finishes his card game and falls asleep.

((The only way we execute people in this town is if the player agrees to let us. That is rare. Also the rules about how long people are jailed are the way they are for a reason. If your character is put in a cell for 5 years are you going to have fun? Esspecially since our cells are almost immposible to get out of. Oh I just got an idea.))

Jacky narrows his eyes. With a sigh, he presents his left wrist for the bracelet.

The fairies put the braclet on. Right now we need to find Vahlziir. Also we need a way to block him from hurting you.

Jacky looks at the bracelet. "Am I allowed to defend myself, or am I a human punching bag?"

No offensive actions can be taken while wearing the braclet. A fairy flies and sits infront of a scrying bowl and starts to watch. Maybe something to block magic.

((We don't know about it. Also PC lives are worth no more than NPC lives for us. Acctually I value NPC lives more because they tend to commit less crimes.))

Jacky is silent for a moment. "I don't know. He's owned me since I got here. I think he's the one that brought me in the first place, right after I- ... Well, that isn't important."

Jacky sits and fingers the long pink scar that divides the top of his throat from the bottom, like a macabre border. He picks at the bracelet with his other hand.

Right I think the station can get an amulet that will stop magic from affecting you. A fairy flies out and towards the OmniShop.

A force cage with what appears to be a black aura'ed Ekrath is shoved through the door of the station followed closely by Maph'tey.

"Is this where people drop off murders?"

Yes right over there. The mutt motions to an empty cell. Also if you could do me a huge favor and fill out a report.

"Well... Let's see. I was at Trog's (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36796&page=7) when that guy decided to attempt to behead me, but he ended up gutting some other person at the tavern. I didn't catch his name due to him being dead and so on. I was there. And some guy who called himself 'El Jaspro" and a few other people I didn't recognize."

Right thank you both. He looks over the reports then looks up. Vera? No way. He seems a bit upset.

"It was my fault...I just wanted to help her and I ended up acting like a jackass like always." Floyd gives an expression between a grim and a grimace. "Like I wrote down there, I let her kill me, so...I don't know, maybe you'll be lighter on her or something."

[McBish]

Dammit. I need to go talk to her. Are you pressing charges?

A fairy flies in with an amulet and goes over to Jacky.

[Rebonack]

"I should point out that Ekrath," he points at the force cage. "Is apparently possessed. I tried driving the possessor out, but it didn't go over too well. Is there anything else you need to know?"

Floyd looks at his feet, shaking his head like a small child trying to lie about stealing a candy bar. "No..."

THe mutt then runs out the door. Damm I wish I could teleport.
