View Full Version : The Artificer, The Fort, and The Pillar

So i had an interesting idea, a (possibly mad) artificer has a small fortress which he keeps his various construct minions and such then one day he finishes his Magnum Opus, a Pillar with a control panel of sorts on it that is a Wondrous Architecture (Stronghold Builder's Guide) of the spells Teleport Through Time, Plane Shift, and Teleport when he activates the pillar the fortress and all its contents disappear with a loud BANG (the sound of a huge void being created as air rushes to fill it) and then reappears somewhere else (whether that be another plane, place, or time), armed with his now complete creation what could he do?

Well, since he can go anywhere and anywhen, he should start by traveling from places where X is common to places where X is rare and valuable for some easily transported X. Having made himself wealthy to an arbitrary degree, he then hires a bunch of magewrights, buys all the materials he needs, hops off to some plane where time is accelerated, and manufactures all the magic items he'll ever need, including Warforged creation forges.

Then sets his minions to work building warforged while he goes off to research the question "How many warforged are needed to conquer everything and everywhen known to exist?". Having learned N, he constructs 10N warforged just for margin, conquers everywhere and everywhen, and then settles back to enjoy life.

I will admit that the idea was based on my friend trying to build a certain doctor (http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Doctor). :smallwink:
