1st) Doomsayer. An huge and complex entry that would have been worth to be in the top three even if we had to judge only the amount of material produced. Plus, the variability given to the class with invocations, paths and signs make it amazing. In the end, using the term "Gotterdamerung" (Wagner, Weeee!) instead of the used and abused Ragnarok is definitely the icing on the cake.
Definitely something worth being played.

2st) Cultist of the apocalypse. Really good class. The sanity mechanic is really cool and a wise method to keep the class balanced. The fluff part of the idea of the class being an horror bringer instead of a simple spellcaster is great and highlights very well it's connection with apocalypse.
I give it the 2nd place because i was a bit disappointed after reading Ultimate horrors, not that original and all damage (HP or ability) oriented. We are talking about horrors so i would have expected some mass maddening effect, the summoning of an elder-evil-like monster (not really an elder evil, but something strange and twisted, like a fire monolith necromental). I found expecially reductive using a death effect as a gift from Armageddon since biblical apocalypse is filled with interesting events you could have duplicated.

3rd) Herald of Ragnarok. A well built class. Balanced and functional, it's mechanics have a strong connection with the fluff, despite not being the on top of originalty.
I've been charmed by the background idea of the fighter struggling to climb the ladder of hierarchy and reach the "benefit" of being in the frontline during the final battle, the highest of all honours.
The final ability, Godstike, it's a perfect embodiment for this fluff and made me decide that this class deserved the 3rd place.

1. Doomsayer. I respect the work that went into this, and I love saying the name. DOOMSAYER!!

2. Cultist of the Apocalypse. Fluff is exactly right and the madness/corruption mechanic seems fun.

3. Barrier Maiden. One class stands against the apocalypse, and I think that's admirable.
