Sighs, the wizard is casting spells, and I wan't to do more with my monk to keep up then simply be good at unarmed combat and maybe grappling, does anyone have any suggestions ?
Well the monk has always been having issues, you know a fist just isn't as good as a sword. So my suggestion is that we take a grain of 3.5 flavor into 5e, and we gesalt sub-classes. The way of the open hand is great for combat, but doesn't give you much outside of it, when the class is clearly intended to be a wizard killer.
So gesalt with it The way of shadow, so you can also be stealthy raising the tier of the monk up, and also providing teleportation abilties, making the monk much more mobile and capable of skipping the front line of enemy mooks and go into a kill zone of the wizard softy.
