This thread serves two purposes. First, to display and discuss the implications of nonstandard progressions and stats. Second, to display and discuss classes and prestige classes that incorporate new and more complicated stats and abilities.

First example: The Veteran Fighter prestige class. Let me know what you think, though I know its probably a little stronger than most martial classes.

Requirements: BAB +5; Strength, Constitution, and Dexterity 14 or greater.

Combat Training (Ex): The veteran fighter possesses an extraordinary knack for practicing and refining his martial skill. Levels in this class stack with levels in other classes to determine the strength of his bravery, armor training, inspire courage, rage, smite, challenge, judgment, unarmed strike, ki pool, grit, favored enemy, and sneak attack class features.
Additionally, he may spend one hour in training and exercise to gain the benefits of 1 combat feat until the end of the day. He must meet base attack and feat prerequisites, though he may ignore ability score prerequisites for this feat. At 4th level and every 3 levels thereafter, he gains one additional feat during this training, to a maximum of 4 bonus feats at 10th level. The veteran fighter may perform this training a number of times per day equal to his highest mental ability modifier (minimum 1), though each time he trains he replaces the bonus feat(s) he'd previously chosen.

Solo Tactics (Ex): This functions like the inquisitor ability of the same name.

Style Focus (Ex): The veteran fighter maximizes the effectiveness of various fighting styles.
When using the power attack, pirahna strike, or deadly aim feat, the veteran fighter deals 4 additional damage. This is increased to 6 if using a two handed weapon, or 2 if using a light weapon in his off hand.
When fighting with more than one weapon, the veteran fighter gets an additional attack at his highest base attack value when making a full-attack action. This stacks with haste and speed weapons, and the attack may be made with either weapon.
When fighting defensively or using the combat expertise feat or total defense action, the veteran fighter gais a +2 bonus to his AC.

Undauntable Vigor (Ex): The veteran fighter may spend a swift action to give himself damage reduction, fast healing, and a natural armor bonus equal to his constitution modifier for 1 round. He may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1/2 his hit dice.
