Can the Seeking enhancement be applied to a weapon with the Throwing enhancement? The RAW says a Ranged weapon, but I'm not exactly sure how Ranged v. Throwing-enhanced is handled.

Take a look at the tables here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/weapons.htm). Ranged is a specific category of weapon, like melee. Some ranged weapons are thrown, such as a Javelin.

The Throwing (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/magicWeapons.htm#throwing) enhancement can only be placed on a melee weapon. A ranged weapon is not a melee weapon, and thus cannot support the Throwing enhancement. Consider the language of the Javelin again, emphasizing that although it can be used in melee, it is not a melee weapon.

The Seeking (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/magicWeapons.htm#seeking) enhancement can only be placed on a ranged weapon. Again, because it can only be placed on a ranged weapon, it cannot be used on a melee weapon; adding Throwing to a melee weapon does not make it a ranged weapon, it merely makes it a melee weapon that can be thrown without the usual -4 penalty (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/weapons.htm#thrownWeapons) for throwing a melee weapon.

Short version: No, you can't put Seeking on a Thrown weapon.

Caveat: I believe there is some sort of elven sword-bow out there somewhere that is treated as both a ranged weapon and a melee weapon. You might want to check the stats on that. Still wouldn't work well thrown, though.

Yes. Yes, it can.

Weapon Categories

Weapons are grouped into several interlocking sets of categories.

These categories pertain to what training is needed to become proficient in a weapon’s use (simple, martial, or exotic), the weapon’s usefulness either in close combat (melee) or at a distance (ranged, which includes both thrown and projectile weapons), its relative encumbrance (light, one-handed, or two-handed), and its size (Small, Medium, or Large). The throwing enhancement turns a melee weapon into a thrown weapon, so the seeking enhancement can be added to it afterward.
