Making a Hoardificer (Construct spamming Artificer) for a PF kingdommaker game. Is my first PF game and I'm still grappling with the rules differences. There's a lot of new stuff to ingest.
Among these news flashes I found that I could build Homunculi with SLAs by adding 10 potions to their composition. (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/constructs/homunculus) This is very cool.

However I'm worried about the characteristics of Homunculus that says when their creator dies bad stuff goes down.
That in mind my questions are these,
a) How to mitigate the bad stuff that happens if my character were to die?
b) Should he and his Cohort make a bunch of Homunculi just for their SLAs?
c) What spells actually make the above worth the effort and sizable risk?

I do want to make lots and lots of Constructs. Pretty sure making too many Homunculi is a poor decision.
What PF Construct(s) should a level 8 Artificer (https://sites.google.com/site/eberronpathfinder/conversion-info/classes/artificer) and his level 6 Artificer Cohort make a lot of instead?
