im am trying to make a half demon template any and all ideas are welcome but can't exceed a +3LA, wanting wings and a at will change into a demonic form as well as a demonic aura at all times but not an evil person

For inspiration, I'd compare the Half-Fiend and Half-Dragon templates:

The Half-Fiend is closer to what you want, but the Half-Dragon has the +3 LA you mentioned. I think giving the template something like:

Str +2, Dex +2, Con +2, Int +2, Cha +2, 60' Darkvision, +4 bonus on Fortitude Saves vs. Poison, Spell Resistance = HD+5, and a Demonic Form supernatural ability (Bite and Claws as Half-Fiend, Natural Armor +1, Fly Speed = Land Speed, Resist Acid/Cold/Electricity/Fire 5) at a cost of +3 LA

might be reasonable, so long as the Demonic Form isn't used to qualify for prestige classes or something. You give up the Smite Evil Ability, Spell-like Abilities, DR/magic, and reduce some of the other benefits to account for the lower LA.

I'm not sure what you had in mind for a Demonic Aura. My initial thought was something akin to Demon Affinity (as described in the Bloodlines section of Unearthed Arcana:
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/bloodlines.htm). I suppose it could be something more like an aura of Evil, just to make the character's life inconvenient though.

The demonic aura was referencing something he had found on the danddwiki, a half-demon template I believe.
