[Griffon Deities]

Hey,

Does anyone know of any Grifon gods, or related to Grifons?
Preferably non-campaign specific, but any are fine.

A bit of searching on my part has turned up the Greyhawk deity Daern, who is "often associated with griffons".

A was also thinking of homebrewing a Griffon deity for my own game. Wondering about domains - so far Air and Bestial seem apt, but what else?

Nobanion would probably fit... as a lion, he seems to be favored by lion-like things.

Since my campaign is pretty Greyhawk focused, I think I'm going to go with Daern.

You sure Bestial is the one you want...? Isn't there a domain better suited to Magical Beasts?

Well, Bestial (http://home.comcast.net/~ftm3/ASMoNM/domains.html) seemed perfect for a creature with natural weapons, like a Griffon. It also grants Scent.

It's... in book of vile darkness. You wanna be reaaaalllyyy careful of the fluff of bovd stuff. very, very, very careful. It's a very badly written book, on multiple levels.

True, true...however, this domain seems fine. Nothing squicky or Eeeevil stands out about it.

Nope. The brief description of the domain on the link I provided works for my purposes.

I know the BoVD has some very questionable material, but a lot of stuff in it also has merit at the gaming table. I play with a mature group anyway - a bit of squick or Eeeevil doesn't really phase anyone.
