Aesa walks into the arena and takes the judge's seat, smirking.
Welcome to the first monsters versus heroes arena battle. I will be your judge and commentator for the match.
Our heroes have only a few moments before their foes arrive on the other side. Prepare yourselves, and let the fight begin.

An ebony puddle sporting specks of flashing color seeps out of the floor of the labyrinth, looking for all the world like little more than an ooze. From this blot two pairs of jointed limbs stretch forth and anchor themselves in the ground. A bizarre creature then hauls itself from the fluid, oddly enough sopping up the puddle as it does.

What was at first smooth and tar-like hide quickly solidifies into chitinious plate as no fewer than half a dozen segmented antenna sprout from the creature's back. It scans about the room with its 'eye' little more than a smooth, dome-shaped organ on what is presumably its front end. Flecks of red and yellow wink in and out throughout its body, though most are concentrated in the eye.

"Ayin finds this place to be strange," it buzzes. "Ayin does not perceive any means by which one might enter it."

Standard1: Ayin manifests Thicken Skin, spending 7 PP to gain +3 enhancement bonus to AC. Ostensibly a +3 enhancement to NA, though the power doesn't specify >.>

Say Amiria posts Mirage's action, the McBish posts Eric's.
If Eric did something that Amiria wanted to respond to, then she could edit her post since she is lower in the initiative order than him.

The gnoll blurs out of Ayin's way with speed that normal gnolls don't have.
Of course, normal gnolls haven't been hit in the face with practically supersonic antenna.
The gnoll crunches nastily as it dies instantly.

Mirage moves to Z 16.

The other gnolls are in S 13, T 13, S 15, and T 15. They all take 5ft steps towards Ayin (going to S 12 and T 12, and S 14 and T 14) and attack with their axes.

((AoOs interrupt all other actions as soon as the condition takes place.

If an attack of opportunity is provoked, immediately resolve the attack of opportunity, then continue with the next character’s turn.(or complete the current turn, if the attack of opportunity was provoked in the midst of a character’s turn). This condition is that you get hit. ((If the AoO comes after the action that triggers it then moving out of the square puts the target out of reach for melee an makes it so they can't be attacked. In the same sense, you can't trip a target standing up from prone since the AoO precedes the standing up. Can't knock someone prone who is already prone.

It isn't clear enough in the SRD to stop confusion but the general consisus is that AoO comes before the triggering action.

Here's the text from the other feat I mentioned.

Further, when an opponent provokes an attack of opportunity, you resolve your attack before he completes the action that provoked the attack of opportunity.

Before he completes the action. Before he casts, before he stands, before he moves, before he hits, ect.))

((Here's the whole context, should have just provided this to begin with.

Normal: Opponents do not provoke attacks of opportunity by attacking. Further, when an opponent provokes an attack of opportunity, you resolve your attack before he completes the action that provoked the attack of opportunity.

The 'further' is just referring to the fact that this feat does two things out of the ordinary. First, it provides attacks of opportunity when you get attacked. Second, these AoO are resolved after the attack instead of before it.

It doesn't matter at this point though. Assume Karmic Strike has a 'make AoO after the attack' clause. Thus, Ayin did take the damage, thus further argument isn't necessary.))

A triceratops appears in aL 7 - aN 9, and another in aL 12 and aN 14
Above the triceratops appear two flying beasties that are a dun yellow color and have long, lolling tongues. They are flying exactly in the same places as the triceratops except 20ft in the air.
To top it off, an old hag appears in the middle of them in aL 10.

((Okay, here is the plan.
First off, I decided it will deal improvised weapon damage against the triceratops.
I then calculated it.
I decided 26d6 smelled pretty cheesy, even if it was a shocking tree growing under the thing.
So, 6d6 damage for the hit sounded better. But, McBish, the ground under him is kinda hard to hit. I'll say you need to roll to hit an AC of 9 (5 for a good spot, +4 for cover) will a -4 improvised weapon penalty and -2 for range.
After Eric most likely makes this fairly easy roll, the tree then gets to bullrush the triceratops with a +18 bonus (+8 for the big size, and +10 for being a freaking magically growing tree. Due to the manner in which the poor dino is being "bullrushed" he won't exactly get a stability bonus either).
Once bullrushed, the dino will fall and take falling damage, if any. But he'll also be prone.
