Craft Wondrous Item: Skill check required?

Hey,

Is there a skill check required when using the craft wondrous item feat?

I can't seem to find any evidence of this being true. People I've spoken to at my table however have agreed that it would make sense for there to be a 'Craft (Wondrous Item)' skill; that would require a skill check in order to successfully complete an item at the end of the crafting process. That being said, nobody can find any evidence proving a skill check is required in this case.

Clarification would be appreciated,

In 3.0 or 3.5 D&D, no. No skills checks are required.

In Pathfinder, yes.
