I am playing a bear shaman in a game now that looks like we will be fighting lycanthropes at some point soon and I am looking for a way for my animal companion to be able to do damage to them. So far I have found the eldritch claw feat but he can't get that until level 9, is there something that I can use sooner than that? I'm level 3 now and should be 4 next session, going to give him a point in intelligence but I don't imagine I can just dip his claws in silver so I need a better option.

Try finding a silversmith willing to make silver covers for the claws? Alternately, see if your DM will allow the tail weapons from Savage Species (assuming your animal companion has a tail), and have it made with silver (or apply silversheen to it). Technically, you could apply Silversheen (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/r-z/silversheen) to the animal's claws...

Actually... (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/goods-and-services/herbs-oils-other-substances#TOC-Weapon-Blanch)

Versatile Weapon spell is an option if a party member has it, but you would need a casting for each weapon.

Would that not be injurious to the critter? I can't imagine that they would have access to a cheap form of fire immunity, and the heat required for forging would have to be at least enough to bring a steel object to nearly zero HP, which is a lot of damage. While it's a stopgap solution, I say my silversheen plan is better.

Mundane fire is 1d6. He's a 3rd level druid and can thus use resist energy (energy resistance 10). It's not efficient at all in terms of time or spells (Silversheen is way better because it lasts for more than one attack), but figured it was worth mentioning given what he said.

While it won't do the silver thing he needs, you can could get the magic part of Eldritch Claw by having it take Extra Traits (anything that gives a SLA)+Arcane Strike (And you can do worse than a scaling damage bonus to every attack when you have lots of attacks), but that can't kick in till 8 (quicker than 10 though).

Let's see...
Nope, best I can do is level 9 yet.
4 levels Druid, 1 level Warden (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/ranger/archetypes/paizo---ranger-archetypes/warden) Ranger
Then 4 levels of Nature Warden (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/n-r/nature-warden) PrC.
It would give your Companion AND all Nature's Ally summons DR/Silver and 'Weapons count as Silver'.

All in all not a bad PrC, it has 7/10 casting, Full Companion progression, and decent enough Entry-Reqs. Going a full 10 levels might be iffy, but quite solid for 4.

Thanks guys, silversheen seems to be the best option to get me through. Luckily druids aren't too gear dependent so spending all my loot on silversheen won't hurt me lol.
