What type of monsters would you think would be in a Black Dragon's lair? I was thinking of having the entrance underwater, and having a couple rooms connected via underwater tunnel, though the rooms will be air filled. During the final dragon fight there would be acid pools, maybe like 50 feet circumference and 50 feet deep, so the black dragon can hide in there if it needs to heal/set up.
What I am not sure about is having other monsters in the lair before. I have set up a Hag encounter, though not necessarily with the dragon lair, do you guys think that would work? Should I have the Dragon heir some demons/devils to guard his lair?
They are level 6 but are taking on things up to 3 levels higher.
