Oh man with the right DM this seems like it could be hilarious and awesome, it's like playing with an unlimited deck of many things. For those of you that haven't seen here's some of the effects you can get from the random wild magic rolls

I just wonder if it's worth the possible really really bad ones in there lol

I have found it doens't happen enough to make a notice in play.

well it is up to the DM after all, you could center your whole character around being wildly out of control with their magic through backstory and such, and urge the DM to use it often.

I know I would use it all the time if one of my players requested it to be that way. unpredictability is the spice of life after all

I have two problems with it: It only triggers on a nat 1 from the d20 roll, and it's entirely up to the DM whether or not the roll even takes place. It might be completely irrelevant for entire adventures with a wild magic sorcerer. Of course, it's a simple houserule away from adding fun chaos on a regular basis.
