All Pathfinder and 3.5/3.0 stuff is available.

So are there any classes, templates (PC legal), or races (0 lvl adjustment) and things that give you more strength. other than War Hulk?

I'm taking a 4 level dip into dragon's disciple to get the +4 STR and a breath weapon.

Items are also available, but i know there are +4 items for nearly every slot.

What do you need it for?

gestalt character. Basically gonna be the strength of the party. I want to be outlandishly strong. with power attack and two handed weapon things.

I understand that there are more optimized way to effectively deal more damage, but the strength can come into role playing, and other direct strength related things, too.

Mm. I was going to recommend taking the Shape Soulmeld (Mauling Gauntlets) feat. It gives you a +2 on str checks, plus another +2 for every point of essentia you invest. A free +2 is pretty great, it's effectively having 4-16 more str for use in tripping, bull rushing, and knocking down doors.

Would a boost to strength-checks help?

The Mauling gauntlets soulmeld from the magic of incarnum is avaliable with a feat, and gives a 2+(2*Essentia) boost to strength based checks. This can result in you doing some very strong things with even one essentia, and a feat for a (minimum) sort of +4 to strength is pretty nifty for a strongman idea.

Relatedly, a level of marshall can allow you to apply your charisma to your strength checks, if that's an acceptable route.

If your goal is /damage/ in specific, then don't forget standard alterations - power attack, leap attack, and a few other multipliers there will help.

Edit: Aaand in the 3 minutes it took my comp to process this, I got ninjad. Haha. ^_^

Well, if you are willing to take a 1 LA hit for 16 Strength, You can grab Half-Minotaur and Half-Ogre onto the same character. They're both Dragon Magazine

Savage Species has Feral, which gets you +6 Str.

since pathfinder is on the table, you can use Blood orc (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/humanoids/orcs/orc-blood) as your base race for that tasty +8 str

Half-Minotaur in Dragon issue 313 gives you +12 Str including the size increase for a +1 LA. Half-Goristro (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060630a) at the bottom of that page gives +16 Str including the size increase for a +4 LA. Lolth-Touched in MMIV gives +6 Str and some other benefits for a +1 LA. Put those on a Water Orc (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/elementalRacialVariants.htm#racesOfWater)and pick up Orc Paragon (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/racialParagonClasses.htm#orcParagon) for another +2 Str, and you've got a huge size character with +40 Str for a total +6 LA and three class levels.

Wild template from a dragon mag issue gives +2str -2int and some other minor goodies.

Water Orcs make a good base 0la race for str with a +4.

For +1LA and being chaotic evil you can get +6 str/con from Lolth Touched.

I can't remember exactly how, but it is possible pre ECL20 to get a Str score of 100 or more (without high level spells or polymorph shenanigans). Have the build lying around somewhere. At that point though, you are asking for Rocket Tag of a high order because nothing is taking a Full Attack from you and living.

Many of the best options have already been presented(Half-Minotaur, Half-Ogre, and Lolth Touched), but this resource (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=13134) may still be of some use, even if it is a bit old.
