So 1 of my players insists that with the ACF from Drows of the Underdark he can choose Abyssal as his school from Spellgifted even tho Abyssal isnt a school of magic.
Just because this ACF exists doesnt create a whole new school of magic as far as I know.

What do you guys think?

You are correct. Being able to specialize in something does not make it a school of magic.
