MM monster ecology

Here's me being weird again, I know. Where can I find decent ecology articles on some of the lesser-known MM monsters (ettercap, cloaker, etc.). I already have the monster type set of books, are there any individual dragon magazine articles that deal with this?

According to wikipedia the Ettercap ecology is outline in Dragon #343 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ettercap

Cloakers don't seem to have an entry in dragon, but have details in Monstrous Compendium: Monsters of Faerûn - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloaker

Dragon Magazine has some dedicated articles for obscure monsters, in general.

I think there was a website or forum where people made up their own ecology articles for the forgotten SRD monsters. Can't find a link right now.
