Following the "path" that leads you through the velvet world you run into a strange sight. At first glance it looks like the three instructors, but on a further glance you notice they start to twist and morph into something unrecognizable.

She grasps the staff produced by her card in both hands as her Persona materializes before her.

He had seen what Miyuki did, and Cel was ready.

Readying his blade, just as Celaverimus' ribbons coiled around it, both him and Soga lunged at Jessica, the only enemy standing against them as a threat. As he reached her, a storm of blows erupted behind his sword, but they were little more than decoys for the two ribbons moving wide, from left and from right, ready to cleave into the apparition.

At the motion's end, something in his mentality and the way the ribbons moved shifted. He was prepared to attack by different means, now.

While Lenora withstood the attacks better than she'd expected, the opposite is also true for her teammates.
Melusine breathes more life into Levi, for starters.

As the apparition sidestepped his blast with ease, Soga scoffed. Turning Cel's state back to the former, he nodded at Levi, who seemed to have figured his thoughts out.

Half of Celaverimus' ribbons coiled around his blade, as an extension of it, just as the other half did the same for his left hand. Right behind Levi, he leaped at Jessica, ready to cut through whatever opening he'd make.

Once more, Soga takes on his calmer demeanor, this time attacking Alexander. A number of blinding-bright orbs formed at the tips of Celaverimus' ribbons, and with a flowing, rotating motion, Soga directed them in a barrage towards him.

Swiftly taking in the new intel Jessica sent them, Soga brandishes his blade aggressively. With a dash and a lunge, he tries to skewer the Alexandra-like apparition, Celaverimus' ribbons extending and driving his blade.

Miyuki directs her Persona's focus back towards Alexander, and strikes with an intoxicating mist.

In a dazzling display of power the team takes down the remaining enemy, before they hear an ominous cackle coming from the darkness of the Velvet World.
"Looks like this year's crop is not as bad as I thought. And here I was, expecting Benjamin to be the only fun I have. I am so glad I was wrong."

Soga got startled. He knew that voice, or so he thought. Benjamin was the only...?

Suddenly, everything clicked into place.The general!

"Get a move on, team, we're out of here! You don't want to fight that thing."

As he shouts that, he moves in front of the rest, intent on making sure the adversary wouldn't try to get anyone on the way out.

Lenora's first reaction is haughty and hostile. "Whatever you are, we don't care about your judgment! We'll fight all the same, and there's nothing-"
Taken by her speech, she's surprised by Soga's hasty departure. She interrupts herself, and follows him. "Err, yes, incoming."

[Philemonite]

"Stop. Hold your position. We do not run away from murderous cowards. That thing will be dealt with."
As you turn around you notice two girls standing appearing from the darkness. You notice a strange contrast between them, the stern look of the one that spoke to you and the friendly gaze of the other one.
"That is so funny. Like I'm afraid of some former operative. But if you really want to stay, I'm sure I can find someone to have fun with you."
"I don't think so. You won't have chance to get near to Benjamin. I will hunt you down and execute you for your crimes. You will not escape your destiny."
"I suggest a tactical retreat. That is if you want to survive. As for you..." she turns to the operatives "...tell your commanding officer to activate the Bloody Esbat protocol. It is time for a reunion."

Stuff started clicking in Soga's head. Reunion? Former allies, huh? So Bloody Esbat means they're joining us again.

"I don't know when you faced that thing last time, but Benjamin, aided by Philemon, just held him off. I propose you actually do run away from murderous cowards this once."

As he said that, he stepped backwards, up to the newcomers. Much as he hated hiding behind another and not the other way around, the pair was substantially stronger.

"I assume you heard that, Jessica."

Miyuki follows close behind Soga, glancing around in response to all the voices around her.

I dunno what's really going on here, but it seems like Soga does... good enough for now, I guess.

"Quick wit, kinda cute, jumps into conclusions. You must be Tareso. Looks like Jessica was right on all three. But sweetie, you really shouldn't overestimate your opponent. That over there is a pathetic wannabe, that can easily be defeated even by a beginner such as you. No offense. But, duo to the "don't feed the troll" politics we are just going to ignore her. That will do wonders. Now, casually make your way towards the door. Preferably by turning you back on her, because that will be so satisfactory."

"Just because I choose not to intervene doesn't mean I didn't hear it. Besides, the two of them are more then capable of leading a team. Just follow their lead. By the way, nice work team."

Lenora tries to ignore the voice. She looks around sternly, haughtily, staying near Soga. Her glasses catch the light in interesting ways, looking like small headlights occasionally.
The truth is, she's got no idea what's going on, and that precious lack of information scares her. That's no business meeting, no teacher interrogation, not even a stroll at the mall with her new friends, she doesn't know the code for that situation. But if there is one thing she learnt from her father, it is that you don't show weakness in times of crisis, and that you have to pretend you're in control.

Soga felt a blast of awkward. "He isn't... the general? Then, why?"

He turned his back at the person (thing?), but Celaverimus didn't follow. Might be revealing the fact that he hadn't taken his mind off them along with his eyes.

He himself monitored the duo, he nevertheless started making his way to the door, slowly, hesitantly, and making sure to be the rear guard of his allies.
