Are there homebrews for this?

I was thinking if there were homebrew stuff for PCs to become "infected" with stuff like Vampirism or Lycanthropy? I think it'll be a cool way to maybe buff some martial classes or something while giving them more things to RP about in the world. Maybe they want to get rid of their curse or find an item to mitigate it's affects or they may embrace it.

I'm not advocating for DnD to be twilight with swords and shields but I think it would be something cool to think about. Imagine a Werewolf Barbarian that uses his rage to descend deeper into his primal instincts or something like that.

not yet, make some up. I've already made up like 4 variant paths for classes and tweaked some stuff. Just make the rules up and check with your DM.
