View Full Version : Could you reasonably run tomb of horrors in 5th edition?

So I watched some videos of people running tomb of horrors in OSRIC, which seems to be a very authentic way to experience tomb of horrors. I've heard that the third and fourth edition of the dungeon were too easy and missed some of the difficulty of the original with the original rules. My question being, if might it be a good idea to run it in 5th, or would it be a loss in authenticity and try and work up all the resources so the players can just use OSRIC. OSRIC would involve a bunch of reading up on OSRIC, and preparing the 20 characters and character sheets for the players, but 5th might involve some conversion which would be annoying/hard to do. I've seen some people saying 5th is 2.75, and I've also read that 2e tomb of horrors is fine, but would it be easier to just use 5th edition rules or should I go for the more authentic OSRIC rules?
