So the oracle clouded vision gives you darkvision 30', but you cant see normally at all. How would that interact with a race that naturally gets 60' darkvision?

More importantly, when it upgrades at level 5 to 60', could I take the deepsight feat that increases 60' darkvision to 120'?

The relevant rules text reads: "ou cannot see anything beyond 30 feet," and "At 5th level, this distance increases to 60 feet." The curse sets a hard maximum on how far you can see, so increasing your darkvision wouldn't allow you to see beyond that limit any more than it would allow you to see through a wall, blindfold, or other vision-limiting obstacle.

At least that's how I read it. Since the system doesn't have strict definition for some of these terms, a stubborn player might try to beat you into a submission with a semantics arguments.

Agreed.

You cannot see anything beyond 30 feet, but you can see as if you had darkvision.
Technically, it doesn't give you "Darkvision 30ft." it just straight up gives you full-on-all-the-time-any-range Darkvision.

The other ability says "doesn't matter _how_ you can see, you can't see past 30ft."
