Lt. Shield + Grab?

I know you can't use the Grab action while using a Heavy shield and a weapon in the other hand, but can you grab someone during combat if the shield is a light one?

Nope.

One of many reasons the brawler fighter isn't as excellent as it could have been.

After looking through the compendium, I found an item that could compensate: The Winged Shield, which gives the benefits of a light shield while leaving your hand free.
