So, another thread recently started discussing if Invisible Spell was worth it.

What are the funniest (either in actual humor or in usefulness) spells to apply Invisible Spell to?

Wall of X is obvious. I want to make a dungeon where every wall is an invisible Wall of Something (Obviously need a group without See Invis)

No, you don't. You want a dungeon where some of the walls are normal Walls of Something, some are invisible Walls of Something, some of them are permanencied Walls of Force, some of them are shadow-conjured Walls of Something, some are invisible spell shadow conjured Walls of Something, and some are Illusory Wall (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/illusoryWall.htm). Oh, and on the edge of every 10' cube, an Invisible Spell Illusory Wall, on top of the actual wall if there's one there, just to make sure everything has an illusion aura and to screw with the folks with See Invisibility. Note, by the way, that "wall" here should be construed as including floors and ceilings.

Oh, of course floors and ceilings.

Note that Wall of Force and Illusory Wall (and Shadow conjured walls) are all still walls, and therefore were going to be included.

This dungeon was also going to appear about 1000ft above a city, full of monsters.

Invisibility.

Phantasmal Killer is kind of hilarious. "You see nothing unusual before you. This is so frightening that you die of a heart attack!"

As it always bears mention in these discussions, Invisible Obscuring Mist is great for screwing with beings that have See Invisibility or True Seeing.

I always imagine Invisible Polymorph and similar effects to cause you to appear to everybody who can't See Invisible as you would to somebody using True Seeing on a normally-polymorphed creature. Which probably means they see your unpolymorphed form, but hear you grunting and growling like a beast.

Invisible Black Tentacles make for a great trap on a battlefield. As does Invisible Web (and that one won't turn visible the first time it affects somebody, either). Similarly for Invisible Grease.

Invisible Mount can give you a Monty Python-like effect.

Making your Explosive Runes Invisible will let you refine your targeting a bit. Only beings who see invisible things can trigger them. Similar things can be done with Symbols.

Invisible Control Weather could prevent anybody from noticing that the weather was changing until it was upon them. And to be very confused as the weather LOOKS different from what it is!

Invisible Passwall can be a poor man's Passwall+Illusory Wall.

Invisible Prestidigitation can be used to soil clean things and have them appear clean until the spell wears off an hour later. Long after you're out of blame-range.

Invisible Open/Close could open or close something without anybody getting to notice the lid/door/whatever moving. It is instantaneous, so the invisibility effect wouldn't stick, but if a door changes state without visibly moving, it might go unnoticed longer.

Invisible Minor or Major Creation likely has some potentially creative uses. Perhaps giving an Emperor See Invisible and then Fabricating him some sumptuous clothes from this Invisible fabric could be good for starting a fairy tale or two.

Invisible Prying Eyes would be a little better at spying.

Invisible Astral Projection saves you on casting Invisibility on your astrally projected self, if only until you attack.

Invisible Arcane Sight would hide the telltale blue glow in your eyes. May be what you want when you make it Permanent.

Invisible Spectral Hand also would provide you with a little more time before anybody realized that you were a ranged threat with your touch attacks (and keep them from smacking it before you get at least one attack off).

Invisible Magic Mouth could cause the voice to come from seemingly nowhere, rather than a visible mouth.

Invisible Control Water could make the water appear unchanged while you are really able to cross it on dry ground or have elevated it to a barrier of sorts.

Invisible Bigby's Hand spells - particularly Interposing, which never "attacks" - could be sources of confusion.

Hope these ideas help!

Invisble Fog Cloud + Invisibility (self)

If they can't see invisibility, you're invisible, if they can, they're in the middle of a fogbank, and you are still invisible (ish)

Invisible Apocalypse from the Sky could be interesting.

Although if you have the Invisible Spell feat and are a prepared caster you might as well apply the feat to all the spells you cast as it won't change the spell level.

Ooh, invisible Necrotic Cyst. Now they can't even see the telltale signs of the infection.

Don't forget that when opposed by an Invisibility-obsessed caster, you need to bring your Invisible Glitterdust to reveal his location!

I hate to be the party pooper, but I'm pretty sure they've limited many wall spells to being vertical. You should check the descriptions.

Invisible version of any form-changing magic. Alter Self, Polymorph, Shapechange, whatever. Add invisible on it, and it looks like nothing happened. Much to their surprise when you slap them with your improved reach.
