"Yes, you're entitled to one parking spot," the receptionist replied as she bundled your keys and a brochure about the immediate area.

Rissy raced after the businessman and he used his arm to keep the turbolift doors from closing, then waited patiently at the back. He looks to be in a sour mood, and extremely tired.

Surrj took a moment to make sure his Swoop was parked in the right spot and returned to the others. He lead them over to a turbolift and waited for one to take them to the right floor for their rooms. "So Rissy has our contact's information, we'll just have to set up and wait for her to catch up to us."

"Don't mention it," the man said. He tapped his hotel room ID against a sensor in the elevator and pressed a button for 57, then leaned back against the rear of the elevator, doing his best to ignore you, but you think you catch him checking out your legs out of the corner of his eye. When the elevator gets to level 57, he steps out and presumably heads towards his room.

(everyone else)

You're assigned a pair of non-adjoining rooms on the 58th floor. They're small but comfortable, and there are enough beds for everyone. Breakfast is served starting early in the morning on level 6. Most of the patrons are already asleep, as it is currently late at night.

"Not all there is to life, but definitely the crux upon which that life is measured," Surrj replies solidly. After a moment's reflection on his own actions during the last mission he lets out a heavy breath and adds, "But I see your point. There's got to be something to enjoy for purely enjoyment's sake. Gambling, fighting, racing, drinking, or other forms of indulgence certainly have their places in life. What did you have in mind?"

"I'm partial to games of chance or skill, but it seems to be so late that if we found a bit of fun it would need to be short lived. Why not tomorrow night instead?" Surrj says as the Turbo lift lets them off at the 58th floor. He takes one room and hands the key of the other to Marren. "If you two are going to be out all night, you might as well share the room." With that he retreats to his room and inspects it. Small, yet functional. If the others were intent on going out, then Rissy would be bunking here with Surrj. Luckily there were separate beds, and Surrj claimed the one farthest from the door. After setting his gear and weapons down within arm's reach, he messaged Rissy via comlink: "58th floor. Room 5827. Knock to be let in." And until the human made her return, Surrj would clean and maintain his weapons in peace.

After doing some digging, Surrj isn't able to come up with anything, but after asking around several bars, Rissy is able to come up with a few shady people who indicate a particular restaurant known for serving grazers is actually a front where Syndicate higher ups congregate and meet from time to time. (Surrj & Rissy)

You pick up your swoop and head to where the Gello's, the restaurant, is. The sun is shining from a clear blue sky, and the weather is cool, but not cold. It's actually quite a pleasant day. Traffic is as heavy as always, but it flows without incident. Billboards and advertisements plastered to the sides of the buildings bombard you with images and sounds. After about twenty minutes, you're a block away from the restaurant, which is situated on a large, mid-level platform, easily a mile across, connecting several tower buildings. Pedestrians mill about on the platform, going about their businesses. You can actually see the restaurant, but you're still too far to make out any details without macrobinoculars, or going in for a closer look. You could also land and approach on foot.

(Mikael & Marren)

The morning light brings a new day. With Surrj and Rissy looking for work, you've got some free time to do as you wish, and the galactic Capitol is spread out before you, yours for the taking.
You guys can pretty much find whatever you want (within reason) on Coruscant, taxi fares will cost you, as will food etc, but other than that, it's all you.

One of the men, a somewhat balding one, puts his fork down.

"Whoa whoa, hold on a sec," another one said, licking his fat lips in thought, "Kayla, Titan 1, yeah, they're part of Lucky's crew."

The first man eyes you both suspiciously, his gaze resting on Rissy a bit longer than necessary.

He was foolish enough to ask strangers for directions instead of just asking me where to find you. He's a real go-getter but... More eager to please than perhaps he should be. We have been assigned a mission by Kayla, one I am sure you are familiar with. We have a few days to muck about before we meet our contact. "You want to... ingratiate, yourselves?" he continued, "figure out how to make some credits, kick 'em up to Lucky. We're not an employment office. You want to make a name for yourself, _you_ gotta do it. Now get outta here, my breakfast is getting cold."

Mikael picked up breakfast from a street vendor, often purveyors of the best food (human and otherwise) on the planet, and munched happily (if messily) as he walked the city's streets. Surrj had yet to get back to him, and while that was a trifle annoying, there was little to be done about it.

He kept an eye on the local news feeds as he walked and ate, trying to gauge the galactic community's response to the heating tensions between Muridon and Kalatar. He also double checked the bounty boards to see if he was known on this planet.

"Although I can tell you do not want my companion and I to remain, I must none the less press onward and upward. Surrj and I are two of the best agents the Syndicate has. We are young, hungry and ready to climb the ranks. You say we do not have a reputation, well I say that ends today! Give us your toughest bounty. "Son of a-," the balding man said, slamming his fork down on the table at the same time the small man said what sounded like, "Tienbaru Sadaki," though you're not sure as the bald man was almost shouting.

The one with the fat lips spoke up, looking pointedly at the balding man, whose face was quickly purpling with suppressed rage.
"Whoa whoa," he said, "Lucky's crew, remember?"

The bald man grimaced and pulled out a comlink.

"Lucky?" he said in to the comlink, gritting his teeth, "you want to tell me why two of your crew are here interrupting my breakfast?"
There was a pause.
"I don't know, some hot number and her trandoshan bodyguard," he said.
Another pause and he held out the comlink.

"He wants to talk to you," he said.

Surrj's body tenses at the slamming of the fork and the air begins tasting of violence before the man is calmed down. This results in Surrj calming down as well and although he never moved a muscle, the change in tension is likely noticed. As the comlink conversation occurs, the large Trandoshan is busy piecing together who Lucky could be. He settles on Lussk before taking the comlink and passing it to Rissy with calm and easy movements, a subtle sign showing a lack of violence. Anything to walk out of here alive.

Details surrounding his disappearance are murky at best, and he is presumed dead.

"There's my favorite reptile. Shame about your bounty falling through. Still, looked like a serious case of bad news if you asked me. You recall our first encounter with their kind, in the caves? That was decidedly unpleasant."

Marren wanders the streets of Coruscant. The crowds are almost oppressive, with sentients hurrying this way and that, walking with haste, heedless of who they might be brushing past as they bustle to and fro. Almost any kind of entertainment imaginable presents itself, from street vendors to restaurants to bars to gambling halls and sports arenas. Advertisements of all types bombard the senses, blending into a background buzz of noise. Here and there, he can still see evidence of new construction, areas rebuilt after they were destroyed in the recent conflict.

After a swig he adds, "I would like to take the master as well, if not for the bounty, then for the challenge itself. Not everyone can say that they've bested a warrior of such caliber."

Surrj takes a moment to think about the question, and sip his drink, before answering. "I suppose such a question is often pondered by the Tribal Elders on Trandosha, but few of those elders took any time to relay such findings to my tribe. We were rovers, raiders, and never too concerned with the petty politics of the other tribes. I stepped away from them while I was barely more than a child, on the surface of Kashyyyk. I have not crossed paths with many from my home world, and even less that knew the thoughts of the elders."

The next day dawns sunny and bright, or at least it would be if not for the massive skyscrapers all around blocking out the Sun. Surrj receives an automatic update from the bounty office listing a blanket bounty on Sith lords, apprentices, and anyone giving them shelter. Aside from that, there is a motley assortment of bounties on the above, as well as various notorious smugglers and pirates who have managed to make a name for themselves. The Hutts and the Syndicate are notably absent from the list. Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of names or exact locations for any of the bounties, often there's not even a race. Most of the bounties are suggested to be in the outer rim somewhere, and there are none in the core worlds.

Once again the city beckons, the center of trade and politics of the entire galaxy.

"Aside from some key aspects, yes, interpretation is relatively open. However, each hunter has his own pride to contend with and his own sense of what is and is not worthy of a Jagganath Point. To me, the only way to honor the Scorekeeper is to take the life of another, most often with my own hands. Droids and lesser creatures don't count, in that sense, but every person alive is a viable target. And any Jedi, so full of life as they are, is definitely a target," Surrj says to the scarred man.

The morning alarm wakens the large Trandoshan from his fitful slumber and he rolls out of his cheap bed with a half asleep reluctance. After a moment of reorienting himself, Surrj shuts off the alarm and dresses in his dark clothes and weapons. The previous night wasn't exactly clear, but the snippets he remembered were calm enough. Pushing the groggy thoughts from his mind, he looks through the collection of bounties and other information passed to his datapad via holonet. It seemed to be a pretty average haul in regards to variety, but no one he knew jumped out at him from the many names. Today was a work day. Today they needed to make contact with the Kessel dealer and get themselves in gear. "Riss. Wake up. It's time to work," he said to the woman, not checking if she was there, awake or otherwise.

"I see. What's your score? And for the matter, how do you report to the scorekeeper? Is there more than one? Because that would make more sense, given that there are an awful lot of Dosh roaming the galaxy and one being can't process all of that."

Mikael stood at the window and smoked a cigarette, rolling the lighter in his hand. Last night had been good, and significantly easier on his pocket than he'd anticipated. He'd spend a little more next time. If this job went well, he'd be able to start putting away money. Purchase more specialized equipment. Start looking for side jobs. Maybe help Surrj with some bounties here and there, stay on his good side. The Syndicate could have jobs for demo-man. Explosives were showy, a good way to send a message. Lot's of collateral damage on a planet like this though.

He exhaled a lung full of smoke and stared out in to the crowds for a few minutes, finished his cigarette and then got dressed. He hefted his gear bags and walked to Surrj's room and gave a soft knock on the door.

"You up?"

Surrj finished his third drink as Mikael asked his question and his orange, reptilian eyes stared at the scarred human for a solid ten seconds. Then he laughed, in his rough, growling laugh, as he ordered another drink. "There is one Scorekeeper, and she tallies the scores of those hunters that have died. Only then, does one's score become final, and the higher one's score, the closer to the Scorekeeper one is in the afterlife. In my twenty-five years I have earned a score of forty-three. Twenty of which has been in your company, working for our employers. One could say I've found the right line of work."

Mikael knocked back his third drink as well then tapped the bar twice with his knuckles. The bartender arrived, a great fat...thing of indeterminate species and gender.

"Two more. On the rocks."

The bartender waddled off and Mikael turned back to Surrj.

"Ah. So the Scorekeeper is a goddess. Noted. You'll forgive me, I'm not well versed in Dosh religion. Is forty-three a good number? I would surmise that, given you particular style, it would at least be somewhat significant. Melee combat is exceptionally lethal, and many die before they become very good at it."

"For my age, forty-three is very good. Some hunters live their entire lives only broaching fifty points. Many are captured, and reset to zero, forcing them to work even harder in their later years if only to reach their peers. My goal is to reach 150, higher than all in my tribe, matched only by the greatest hunters of our race. Matched by the hero Kraad, who died with 150 Jagganath Points to his name," Surrj says solemnly. He takes his new drink and drains half of it in a single swig, his expression turning pensive. "If I keep at this pace I may even surpass him, and such thoughts keep me cautious. Most hunters of my age are too proud and boastful of their scores. It makes them a target. They are often captured or killed without honor. That is not the path I would choose for myself."

Suurj goes to the door, gear at the ready. "Yes. A moment," he says before he turns towards Rissy. "We'll be down below, probably check in on the ship. You've got the contact info, you let us know what you find out." He leaves the room and gestures Mikael downstairs. "Surrj, hey! Real quick; I mean no disrespect, but I think it would be best if you waited out here. We need our escape covered and an ace in the hole if things get ugly inside. Plus...well I'll be honest. You aren't exactly dressed for the establishment, and they're not going to let you in with your kit, which limits your effectiveness in the meeting to near zero. We cannot afford a poor impression with these people. Your meeting with the heads on this planet went badly enough already. Not your fault, we just didn't know the lay of the land. "Don't worry, they'll keep coming around, but if you want to order anything specific, use the panel," he said.

"So, explain to me why we should risk our product in such an unstable system, especially when it appears you don't have full control of the situation, as it were," he said. He then leaned back, fur rippling gently.

Roll persuasion for the small talk to change his attitude.

After that, make three rolls: persuasion (negotiate), persuasion (intimidate), deception, or any combination of the three. If you want to tell him the truth and convince him it's worth it to cut a deal anyway, use persuasion (negotiate). If you want to embellish or otherwise obfuscate the true situation in the Muiridon/Kalatar system and on Titan 1 (i.e. that you're in competition with the Hutts and you just wiped out one of Tereez Caer'bun's rivals' delivery teams). If you want him to give you a good deal because you're the big bad Syndicate, and he should do it if he knows what's good for him, use persuasion (intimidate).

Persuasion (negotiate) has the highest DC and best chance of success for a long term deal/relationship, deception is middle of the road, and persuasion (intimidate) has the lowest DC, will likely get you the best deal today, but has long-term negative repercussions, and has the worst consequences if you fail.

Anyone who is in the room with Tereez can aid any of the rolls (just vroll 3d20 without the skill if Felhammer hasn't posted yet, and we'll add in modifiers later). I'll award a small circumstance bonus (up to +3) for RP but we're still trying to get hyperbolic in so we're not going to RP out the whole thing. Best of luck.

Edit: Felhammer, don't forget to indicate in the persuasion roll (if you make any) whether you're going for honesty/negotiation or intimidation.

The noble finishes a final bite of the food that has been provided and takes a moment to wipe her face in a very dignified manner that, more or less, indicates that the chit chat has ended and it is time to get down to brass tacks. After talking with the Bothan, she knows he will need some prodding to sign the contract, most likely a mixture of negative campaigning about the competition with a fair dose of "we're obviously the better people to deal with" rhetoric. After clearing her throat, Rissy begins, "Why should you risk your product with us? We're young, vibrant and hungry. The Hutts are ancient and beyond greedy. You will never get a fair shake with them. Period. You know this, I know this. The Hutts are in this game for themselves, they do not care about you, me or anyone else involved in the operation. They would sell their own parents out if it was profitable, what do you think they will do to you when they grow tired of your organization? At worst they will hire bounty hunters to track each of your down and flay you alive. At best they will sell you out to the authorities. Either way, you lose." She lets that point sink in for a moment before pressing the advantage, "You, my friend, need better partners. We are those better partners. We do not have complete control over the sector but that will come in time, I assure you. We have already enacted several plans to eliminate the competition, each and everyone of them has proven quite beneficial for our organization. With your product, our domination will become an inevitability. We will provide you with a stable market, you provide us with a stable supply. Simple and easy."

Mikael refrained from eating at the table. Public dining was a rather disconcerting affair for him, as his lack of lips meant food would sometimes escape his mouth.

"If I might add a point as well; the Hutts have displayed a rather amateurish lack of sincerity in guarding their products and their teams. Myself and a group of three of our men, all highly trained professionals, broke up a sale being run by ten or so of the Hutts' contingent. I won't bore you with tactical details, but I will say that quality greatly won out over quantity. It was laughable really."

He took a sip of water from a straw.

"We, on the other hand, take the security of our products and our suppliers very seriously. If you had been sided with them at the time, you would be staring at a significant loss of product and profit for the month I wager. That sort of cavalier attitude when it comes to this business is idiotic and an immensely poor investment. Standing with us gives you not only a profitable market, but also a secure market."

I would consider what Mikael is saying to be the truth, so this will be a persuasion roll. I don't recall the exact number of hostiles, but I feel like it was around ten. I will roll the others as well, just to have them out there if we need them.

The group and Tereez Caer'bun went back and forth for nearly an hour, with Rissy leading the negotiations. The bothan proved himself a skilled and experienced negotiator, but through pulling out nearly every trick she had in her book, Rissy was able to secure what she considered to be a fair deal, a rather large sum of credits for 400kg of uncut, refined Kessel spice. There would probably need to be a renegotiation within three to six months, but it was a good start.

Finally, hands are shaken around the table, the deal is done.

"Pleasure doing business with you," Tereez said, "come to the undercity, forty-nine stories below plate level, this building. There's a small landing platform there. I'll introduce you to the handlers and deliver the goods. They'll be going with you back to Kalatar. Six pm galactic standard, don't be late," he said.

Tereez got up and left, leaving you to pay the bill, 250 credits.

Through her knowledge in galactic lore, Rissy knows its not easy to get ships through the plate which forms Coruscant's ground level and separates the undercity from the rest of the planet. A closed top speeder large enough for everyone would probably fit, and you might be able to squeeze a skiff through if you can find a gap large enough, but there's no way you'd be able to get the entire ship down there. Surrj's speeder will fit no problem.

If you could take an elevator down, that would make the journey a lot easier. There's a chance the building has a working elevator that could be rigged to descend to the undercity, but that would require someone with knowledge in mechanics or computers to override the safety protocols.

"Alright. This is a large building, I suggest we get in from somewhere a little less conspicuous than the restaurant. I'll do a fly-by," Surrj says as he powers up his swoop bike. As Rissy and the others recollect themselves the large Trandoshan flies up and down the different sides of the building looking for more public access to the inside lifts.

The building has a trio of turbolifts on the outside of each its four sides, the better to witness the view of the city. A quick inspection by Surrj reveals that these don't go below the plate level, as he can easily see the plate itself when the lift ascends. The public internal turbolifts are of two varieties, freight and general. The freight elevators are larger and you might be able to fit Surrj's swoop inside one if you stood it upright, while the public elevators would not be large enough. The hard part would be getting the swoop inside and to the freight elevator without dozens of people wondering what you're doing. The lower floors of the building are a gigantic retail shopping mall.

Either the freight elevators or normal turbolifts could be rigged to override the safety protocols and access the undercity (or the private apartment levels) with a little rewiring. There's no real security in the building, at least not that you can see.

Surrj reports back to the team with his findings and suggests that they take the simple route of leaving the Swoop behind as they descend. "Fully armed would be a tough sell for getting us through the shopping centre. Let's take a mid way entrance and descend from there." The Trandoshan seeks out an appropriate parking area somewhere above the shopping centre and reports his location to the rest of the team, instructing them to take the turbo lift to him before they tamper with it. If he's able to find a spot, Surrj will retrieve the 2 frag grenades from his Swoop bike and carry them with him.

The well lit mall bustles with activity. Blue and white collar workers alike mingle in the food courts and in the promenades and open corridors of the building. Escalators ferry patrons up and down, while lines form in front of most of the elevators. The crowds dwindle with the end of lunch hour, however, and with a little bit of searching, you're able to find an unused elevator at the plate level.

(elevator group)

With a few snips and twists, Marren is able to rewire the elevator to descend past the plate. It easily smashes and scrapes through a barrier of some kind, the pieces of shattered plasteel dropping down through the shaft untold kilometers, echoing away into silence. The floors below are dark, in contrast to the well-lit mall above. He rigs the elevator to stop at the correct level, and the doors open to a dark expanse. Mold grows everywhere, and the chill air is heavy with humidity. Dust occasionally falls from the ceiling, illuminated by the shafts of light from your flashlights, and you're fairly certain you can hear scrabbling within the walls, those that haven't decayed and fallen apart. Occasionally you pass piles of refuse, or makeshift tools, bones, or animal droppings. Dried blood spatters the walls in more than one place. The platform should be straight ahead and the group moves together, eager to get out. The darkness combined with the incessant whistling of the wind through cracks in the skyscraper's outer walls create an overall creepy atmosphere, and your senses are on high alert as you make your way through the ruined building.

A few minutes seems like an eternity, and more than once you catch the sound of some kind of small animal, skittering away as you pass through its territory. A large open doorway leads to the platform. Decayed and broken in places, the platform itself is crumbling, but it looks to be able to still function for its original use, at least in places where the supports are still strong. The platform is attached to the building, stretching two hundred and fifty feet or so along the side of the structure. Two defunct refueling stations sit on either side of the platform, the one on your left has some kind of creature's nest built onto the side of it. To your right, an entire section of the platform has broken off, and only a piece of the guardrail remains. Off in the distance, you swear you see the glow of a campfire in an adjacent building, but it vanishes quickly as a cloud moves in and cuts visibility to near zero. The whine of repulsorlifts approach, as do landing lights, illuminating the cloud, as Michael and his skiff arrive, perfect timing.

(Mikael)

Mikael is able to find an open top skiff easily enough, but finding a gap in the plates is another story. It's a good hour of flying around before he can find one large enough to fit the vehicle. Once below the plate, the atmosphere changes immediately. The air is dank, and moisture clouds skid through the gaps between the buildings, driven by wind currents. The facades of the buildings here are decayed, with lichen growing among them, some of it glowing a luminescent blue in the darkness. Mikael has to rely on sensors and travel slowly to navigate without crashing into one of the skyscrapers. Miles below, he can see the glow of artificial lights. Relying on navigational data from the city above, he's able to find the landing platform the bothan mentioned after an hour or so of travel through the darkness. He lands to find the other three just exiting the building onto the platform. The platform groans in protest, but holds firm.

Apologies for taking a few liberties with your characters' actions, but I'm eager to move this along.

Your conversation is cut short as an elongated speeder arrives and drifts to a halt at the edge of the platform directly opposite the doorway, the whine of its engines fading away as they spin down. Its amber lights stay on, refracting against the cloud until it clears away, to reveal a hawk-wing door opened towards you. A brown-skinned leather-clad person who looked like he might have passed for human, except for an extra pair of arms, stepped out of the interior, the wide barrel of a heavy blaster cannon leading the way. Tereez Caer'bun, now dressed in sleek black polished body armor, followed close behind, while another four-armed person stepped out and moved to the rear of the speeder. He slung his blaster rifle across his back, opened the trunk, and ushered out a small hoversled with a large crate balanced on it.

"You're early," Tereez said with a wolfish grin, "I like that."

On second look, the elongated faces and pointed ears of Tereez's companions are clearly alien in nature.

The whine of repulsorlift engines heralds the arrival of another vehicle. A pair of skiffs, each as large as the one Mikael rented, cruise around the side of the building. On the front of each, below the bow, sits a blaster cannon turret. As they cruise closer, blast doors hiss shut over the doorway Surrj Marren and Rissy exited through, trapping you on the platform.

One of Tereez's bodyguards snaps his weapon up at the group.

"They have betrayed us!" he said in accented Basic, but Tereez calmly placed one hand on the barrel of the weapon and pushed it towards the ground, then turned to face the two skiffs.

The top hatch of one of them opened up and a Rodian popped his head and torso out.

"Well well, if it isn't Tereez Caer'bun, and my old friends from Kalatar, trapped like fish in a barrel," he said. Surrj, Mikael and Marren recognize the Rodian as Kleepo Torga, a bounty hunter who worked with the Hutts. He narrowly escaped after attempting to kidnap two of their female comrades.

"What do you want, Torga?" Tereez asked.

"I'll take that shipment there," he said, "and I'll take you as well. You should have bargained with Drayko."

"Over my dead body," Tereez muttered. He snapped a pistol out of a holster and fired a shot at the Rodian, missing by inches. Kleepo ducked his head back down inside the skiff as the two vehicles peeled off, turrets taking a bead.

Marren and Rissy follow Surrj and Mikael beneath the abandoned mynock nest. The two skiffs open fire on Tereez's speeder, blasting the engine block. Pieces of shrapnel go flying and a glowing red molten slag is left where the engine used to be mounted to the rear quarter.

"My speeder!" Tereez shouted, and ran forward to where the low vehicle could be used as cover, pretty much all it was good for now, firing a few shots from his blaster pistol. The two Codru-ji follow behind, and open fire with their weapons, the rapid fire of the heavy blaster cannon scorching the side of one of the skiffs, but doing little more than superficial damage. One of the skiffs dips below the platform and out of sight, while the other picks up altitude attempting to get around your cover, its turret swivelling to try and find a bead on anyone exposed.

The situation is very grim. It is unlikely you'll be able to escape on Mikael's unarmed skiff, and there's no cover by the blast door, meaning any attempt to hotwire it open would expose you to withering fire from the two skiffs. Surrender (except for Surrj) might be a good idea.

Then, screaming in from the skiff's left, a dark blue open top speeder careens into the firefight, rear mounted blaster cannon turret firing at a target below the platform. You hear a few explosions, and the enemy skiff veers back above the platform, venting smoke and flames out of the port side, before crashing onto the platform with a horrible screeching sound of twisting metal. The newly arrived speeder is close behind, intending to finish the job. The second skiff, however, turns its aim and unleashes a burst of fire, scoring a direct hit on the nose of the new speeder. The dark blue speeder goes down in a plume of smoke, and the entire platform groans from the impact of the two vehicles crashing.

Gial: You watch as the droid behind you expertly takes out the skiff's intake. It barely has enough power to make it above the platform before crash landing. Your victory is shortlived, however, as you feel the impact of several laser blasts on the speeder, shattering the windshield. Your brain has just enough time to register the fact that the second skiff has just shot you down before you are thrown against the seat in front of you as the speeder crash-lands (take [roll2] damage). The two battle droids, unshaken by the crash, exit the vehicle and begin threat assessment.

Miraculously, Tereez and the two Codru-Ji appear to be unharmed. They actually look surprised they are still alive. The three of them hustle inside the service station, the second Codru-Ji diving through a window.

Two B-2 battle droids exit the crashed speeder, one from a now useless blaster turret, and open up their wrist blasters, scanning the area for threats. Their scans pass right over the party and Tereez and his bodyguards, but apparently none of you are on their targets list.

One battle droid finishes clearing out the turret and moves into it while the other rounds the corner of the speeder and takes aim at the group of Rodians. Unfortunately, one of the Rodians smacks the droid's arm with his blaster rifle, throwing its aim off. All three of the aliens return fire at the droid. Rissy hops aboard the craft, looks to Marren and yells, "PUNCH IT!"

So if I double moved last turn, we could all get aboard. I give up my standard action this turn so Marren can turn the craft on and we can take off. This way we can all participate in the coming battle and I don't get left behind and become completely useless.

It doesn't really matter either way though. As Marren needs Rissy's Standard to turn the skiff on and Rissy needs to use two move actions to get aboard the craft. So the skiff is not moving until this turn anyway.

Marren expertly pilots the skiff near the remaining Rodians. Mikael and Gial combine fire to take down two of them, while Surrj jumps down and smashes the other with an overhead chop to the head, dropping him immediately.
The enemy skiff responds by opening fire on the group below, peppering those on board Mikael's skiff with searing laser blasts. The party avoids the worst of the assault, but several are hit by bits of burning slag thrown up from the flash-melted deckplates.
Marren, Mikael, and Rissy take 18.
Edit: Actually, Mikael has evasion, so he takes zero.

The overhead fire abruptly stops as the droid in the turret follows Gial's orders and opens fire at the skiff overhead, hitting something important with a loud bang. The skiff's engines strain to keep it aloft and black smoke begins to belch from the starboard exhaust as it lists heavily to the right, but it stays in the air. The droid's fire is momentarily cut off as an explosion rocks the turret; apparently someone inside the downed enemy skiff tossed a grenade into the turret.

Gial does not turn around, instead staring at Surrj with his left eye while keeping an eye on the battlefield with the other (independed eyes are surely convenient!), but puts on one of his best smiles.

"My horoscope said that I should come here today to kick some Rodian butts!" he replies, cheerfully.

Then, someone tosses a grenade into the turret.

This time he missed, hu? Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, as even if he can shoot better than your normal townsfolk he can't compare to a professional marksman...but the Trandoshan charged in, so that Rodian isn't going to be a problem for much longer anyway. A pity 01 was killed by friendly fire, but those droids are disposable (they only have a basic processor, after all, so they are little more than objects); the skiff is still a major threat, though the missile launcher should take care of it, and the Rodians on it are a bit too far for him to aim well.

After these considerations, Gial orders to the remaining droid "Fire at the Rodians on the airborne skiff!" while aiming and preparing to shoot Rodian 2 after the missile launcher has done his work (possibily taking down the skiff an thus bringing the Rodians at point-blank range).

If I have done my math well, the distance between Gial an the Rodians on the skiff is 25-26 squares, and 26-27 for the droid. That should put them at Short range for Gial's pistol, but still at Point Blank range for the droid's blaster.

The droid's gone...the situation is critical. Not confident enought in his chanches to hit the Rodian, especially at that distance, Gial lays low and fires a disturbing shot, hoping that the others will be able to shoot Kleepo down.

Blaster bolts rain down on Kleepo, and he takes off with his jet pack, aiming to land by the rocket launcher, when Marren's shot hits him in the back, disabling the jetpack. Kleepo tumbled to the ground and half slid, half tumbled to a stop, not moving. Everything is quiet for a moment, and then you can hear the sound of metal shifting somewhere, probably one of the speeders or skiffs settling into the landing platform in the breeze.

Tereez walked over to where the fallen bounty hunter lay, apparently intent on finishing him off.

And down the Rodian goes, finally. A smirk surfaces on Gial's face, as it appears that he managed to survive the battle with no injuries but a little contusion and a cut on the forehead. The same couldn't be said for the droids, but oh well...they were expendable.
After a brief look towards the turret were both machines met their end, Gial's eyes wander on Mikael's immobile body and, holstering the pistol beneath his clothes, under his armpit, he sets off to go check wheter the man is still alive (doing nothing to stop Tereez, as he doesn't know of the bounty).

With a gasp and a bloody cough, Surrj's heart starts beating again. The last thing he remembers is the bolt of energy burning through him, cutting him down in the worst of ways. But he was not yet in the Scorekeeper's realm, and so he must be in the living world. The face of Rissy comes into focus and he begins to understand the circumstances a bit better. Wasn't she using the force to put Torga at a disadvantage? And what of the Rodian? Any attempt at verbalizing these thoughts leads to more coughing and hunks of blood flying from his toothy maw.

As said in the other thread, Vital Transfer 18 means Character level x2, so Surrj is at 12. But where is he on Condition track?

Mikael's eyes snapped open and he sat bolt upright. He grabbed the Mon Cal by the throat and reached for his knife. He paused as his surroundings became clear. There was first aid kit next to the Mon Cal and his friends were nearby. Rissy and Terez were also alive. That ostensibly meant that the Mon Cal was on their side. He released the Mon Cal and Ashe pouted a little.

"Sorry. Where is Kleepo Torga?"

Mikael rose to his feet, a trifle unsteadily. He glanced down at his wounds. Kindler was still in full control at the moment and his voice carried a bored, monotone cadence.

"Ah. So I didn't black out. Probably for the best. Thank you for the treatment. Stick with us for a bit, and we'll talk about adequate remuneration for your help. Kleepo was worth five thousand alive, but a thousand dead will have to satisfy. In the meantime, can you police the weapons and ammunition from the corpses? Take special care with that launcher, I'd like to add it to the armoury, and the fight was rough on it. I'll help you with the task in a moment."

He nodded to Terez.
"Glad to see you've come out mostly unharmed. And the shipment is still intact, so that's a lovely bonus. Will you still be tagging along with us?"

He limped over to Torga's body, noting that Surrj was looking worse for wear. He rolled the Rodian over with the tip of his boot, patting the knife on his belt as he studied his foe. Ashe wriggled in Mikael's brain.

"Do we have turn him in whole, Surrj? And where do your points sit at now?"

"F...five thousands?"

Gial, dumbfounded, stares at Mikale with his left eye (an expression of surprise in Mon Calamarian body language) while his jaw seems about to fall off.

"Goodness...maybe he's still alive? Maybe? Where's the doctor, for goodness sake? he then says, after a good ten seconds, a clearly regognizable worried note in his voice. "Gah, I don't want to think about it. Five thousands...and I ordered the droid to use the turret.... He shooks his head, then sets off to do exactly what Mikael asked him to without complaining: a clear sign he's utterly shocked.

As Rissy helped the large Trandoshan into a sitting position, Surrj replied to Mikael through the comlink, "Leave him recognizable. Cut the Mon Cal in on the bounty, wouldn't have made it without him. Points are fine." With a groan and an inborn ache of protest, he made it to his own two feet and clambered into Marren's skiff, "If we're all accounted for, I'd like us to get going soon."

Surrj is at -10 Condition, meaning half-speed and -10 to all pertinent checks and numbers. He has 12/75 hp, as well. He's eager to get back to the ship and rest up.

Mikael pulled out his knife and examined the edge as he crouched near the body. He spoke without looking up, though he had a strange timbre to his voice.

"Recognizable is not the same as whole. Will just the head do, or would you prefer the heart? Hmm, can't decide, bother bother bother. Such a damned shame you killed him, my fish-eyed friend."

He sighed and sheathed knife as he grabbed hold Torga's boot. He dragged him along to the skiff, and when that was done, he went about helping collect the weapons and ammo. And credits; it wouldn't do to forget those. When that was finished, he hopped aboard the skiff.

"Being shot takes it out of you. I could use some rest, maybe some entertainment afterward. So many fun things to do on this planet. If this little scuffles is an indicator of how much the law cares about the low levels, just imagine how much fun we could have."

The Codru-Ji start putting blaster bolts into the Rodians which aren't obviously dead, while Tereez kicks Kleepo's body.

The bothan looked around at the wounded party.

"Good fighting," he said, "and good timing. If it wasn't for your friend showing up when he did..."
He nodded to Gial.
"Another one of your crew?" he asked.

Once the Codru-Ji are done making sure all the other Rodians are dead, they join Mikael in collecting weapons and credits. He studied the assembled weapons and credits, then cast a glance at the ships.

"This'll all look lovely in the armory aboard the ship. The launcher in particular. I was just saying we needed heavy weapons for these sorts of jobs, and now here we are with a deliciously powerful proton torpedo launcher. And for free! Wonderful. Do you think we have time to search the ships?"
