Hi everybody. I'll start playing an E6 campaing with some friends and I have the unoriginal idea of playing a Blaster Caster, focused specifically in being a dumb blaster(maybe with some utility spells, but a blaster)

I'm taking pathfinder's Ifrit (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advancedRaceGuide/featuredRaces/ifrits.html) race adapted for 3.5(and for Lore) and for now I'm thinking of using the pathfinder's Sorcerer (http://paizo.com/prd/classes/sorcerer.html) class (adapted for 3.5 too) with Elemental(Fire) Bloodline.

But I'm having trouble chosing spells and feats, and looking for a PrC for level 6. Can you help me with my Blaster?

Illias was a charismatic, smart and young promising wizard from a small forgotten town. He and his sister were appretinces of and old wise man who teach them the art of magic.
One day, while training, his sister, Sandra, tried to use a high casting level fire spell which fail, exploding, knocking out the old man and herself, the whole place burn and Illias tried to fight the fire with his magic but in the end he was consumed too like the rest of the town.
Now he reborn as a new creature, haunted by his old memories, he is an explosive and passionate force of destruccion and chaos. He left his old town behind looking for a reason to exist more than destruction itself.

Sorry for my English, not main language.

I think the standard is getting the Crossblooded archetype and Orc as one of your bloodlines... Will give you a net gain of +6 damage per spell.

If you are using pf sorcerer, then use Primal (Fire) and crossblooded with either draconic or orc. You gain +2 damage for each damage die, and with some caster boosts, you can easily start lobbing 10d6+20 fireballs. Feats in particular are bloodline of fire and arcane thesis, as well as practical metamagic. Best spell would probably be Scorching Ray, which are ranged touch attacks opposed to say a reflex save half.

If you feel like getting up close and personal, you might also want to look at Combust from the SC, the damage potential in E6 with Arcane Thesis is simply phenomenal. Other things to be aware of are the Fire metamagic feats from Sandstorm (Fiery and Searing iirc) and maybe the Force Charged Sorcerer Sub level in Planar Handbook (It's not nearly as good as usual in E6 though).

Wow thanks, that helps a lot, really. just one question about Crossblooded. If I didn't read it well I lose 1 spell know for every level, with this If I'm not wrong, being limited to lvl 6 makes me no able to learn 3rd lvl spells for the extra damage. I'm wrong?

I actually wouldn't worry toooo much about that. You can spend feats to pick up 3rd level spells in most E6 setups I think, and even so most of the 3rd level slots you use will probably end up being 2nd level slots that have been metamagicked up.

Hmm, ok, I'll see. Another question, how exactly works Metamagic on spontaneus casting. I understan that prepared casters prepare their spells on higher levels but... I dont prepare spells, they just works as a higher lvl?

As a spontaneous caster, applying metamagic to a spell changes the casting time to a full round action or more.

To mitigate this, take advantage of metamagic specialist from PH2 , or rapid metamagic, or arcane spell surge.

Wild Mage with Practiced Caster seems like it would be a strong thing in e6. You can up to double your caster level.

No you can't. While you apply effects of abilities in the order most beneficial to you, you don't get to apply one in the middle of another. Wild Mage + Practiced Caster (or Krau power sigil) increases your caster level by [0, 0, 0, 1, 2, 3].

Are you interpreting the only time your caster level is reduced by three is when you cast spells? Or that because the lost caster levels and the +1d6 when casting are from the same source, that the +1d6 must be applied first?

The second. -3 and +1d6 are the same effect, so they're applied together, giving you a CL modifier of [-2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3]. Then you add 4 to the ones that are below your normal CL, up to your level, so [0, 0, 0, 1, 2, 3].

If the -3 is constant though, your practiced spellcaster should fix it before you even cast a spell (and therefore before you get a chance to roll the d6). I can see the logic of your interpretation though, so lets not sidetrack the conversation further

No, you're entirely missing the point. It's not -3 and +1d6, it's +1d6-3. It's the same effect and cannot be separated.
