Ok so here is the feat
Racial Heritage (Human)

The blood of a non-human ancestor flows in your veins.

Prerequisite: Human.

Benefit: Choose another humanoid race. You count as both human and that race for any effects related to race. For example, if you choose dwarf, you are considered both a human and a dwarf for the purpose of taking traits, feats, how spells and magic items affect you, and so on.

It is the So on part that leaves this open for cheese.

Racial Heritage (Illithid/Mind Flayer) would this give you access to Illithid Savant? As it says you are considered both a human and an Illithid for the purposes of feats, spells and magic items, and so on.

When it says "humanoid" it is referring specifically to the type of creature, Humanoid. Mind Flayers are Abberations, not Humanoids, and thus not valid as a selection.

Could be argued humanoid (aberrant) subtype. same as the Elans where turned from simple Aberrant to Humanoid with the Aberrant subtype.

As far as I know, legally, Paizo can't do anything with Mind Flayers/Illthids as they are protected by the Product Identity clause. Elans are not, and therefore were able to be adapted. If you're going to use Mind Flayers in 3.P, the most recent source is the 3.5 Monster Manual, and as such are Abberations. If you want to argue for their conversion to Humanoid(Abberation) thats fine and dandy, but its still homebrew.
