In the center of the street, next to trog's, is a red brick plaza, with the usual trees, benches, and Stiletto Guild assassins. They pace around, looking for targets, and most go back to their HQ.

--------------------------------------------------
A caravan sets up camp, selling spices, fabric, various illegal things, and laundering money. A very tanned, muscular man is manning the stall, while a young woman pokes her head out of the caravan.

Quite a bit, by look'v it. Mind the Gufis don;t catch ya with some o' that stuff.

A gobbo wearing a GSA unirform posts a sign across the street. By the look of it, he's got a lot of the signs. He posts it and moves on tot he next place to hang one.

The man reaches under the table, and pulls out a beautifully crafted short sword, with an inscription running along the edge of the blade: "The dwarves will be broken, their ranks shattered, Bloodspike" we have this. It is a one of a kind weapon. It was forged by the Smithking for a war against the dwarves. You can have it for 5000 gp. And for you, sir, what would you like? I have something in the back here that is... semi-legal.

Raistlin1040

What do you have?

Renrik
2007-03-08, 08:57 PM

Xerillum
2007-03-08, 08:59 PM

Xerillum

He sees a young woman in the caravan. Some people sold her to us. We occasionaly deal in... well, you get the idea. I think, 500 gp?

Renrik
2007-03-08, 09:05 PM
We'll think about it. Gotta pool up some money for somethin' like that. Damn fine blade, though. Maybe we can get one of the sages to take a look at it sometime... we'll have to scrap up some change for that.

The gobbos leave.

The human inspects her, looking for her race. ((I'll give you a hint. He's a scar enforcer and not really a human.))

Xerillum

she's human.

The "human" turns to the salesman. He closes his eyes and changes into a dark looking half-elf.
I'll pass. I don't like human women.

"I believe it's time to see Justice done, my friend," Yoritomo tells the monk who steps behind him.
"They who deal in blood shall receive in kind," the monk nods, quoting a parable from his particular monastic discipline.
"Then I believe we have some assassins to hunt."

Chase enters the plaza from the direction of the slums. Spotting what looks like a large sign, he crosses the plaza and reads it. He didn't usually do bounty hunting of this nature, but it was money and it promised a good challenge... Smiling, he walks back towards the slums.

Chase enters the square, looking around. He clears his mind, scanning the square with his eyes to look for suspicious characters.

He sees an old granny feeding the pigeons.

((Is she secretly SG or not? Because his danger sense will be able to tell him if she's not what she appears.))

Xerillum
2007-03-09, 10:21 PM
((No, no, she's just a granny. She took a level in monk in case someone tried to off her, but she's just a granny.))

Finne walks into the plaza, and sits down on a bench.

((If that's the most suspicious person around, there's not much point in Chase staying here...))

Finding nothing out of the ordinary, Chase leaves.

Some men from the Docks arrive and set up a stall. They are selling armor, several varieties of weapons, and military provisions.

One man stands up and begins to speak:

"Get your fine Kraznayan Plate Mail here!! Best common non-magical armor on earth!!!"

Xerillum
2007-03-09, 10:29 PM
Oh, I beg to differ! I have here dwarven stone mail, specially made to barely hinder you at all! The caravan incites a price war.

Yoritomo enters the plaza and looks around for the monk. He catches sight of him and awatins some form of confirmation from the assassins that they are present.

Pollux

"Ah, but is yours mass-produced? Do half a million soldiers trust their lives to it everyday? Do you have over 7500 sets of this stone mail on you right now?"

Renrik

A few NPCs look over to the Kraznayan booth

That's...impressive.

Xerillum

As a matter of fact, we have 20,000 pairs of it! *he pulls out a bag of holding* The entire Aszarkian Army uses this mail!

An assassin creates a small flash in front of Yoritomo.

A Thunder's Stomp kiho holds back the glass, while his wrist-rings ((I really need to learn the proper name for those things)) fend off most of the initial attacks, a thin cut marks his side as he leaps from the fray to face the ninja all on once side.
As two kama swing at the ninja, aiming to wound, not kill, it becomes clear to the stilletto guild that the one upon whom they had lain a trap had in fact lain the trap on them.

((Since it's now out of the bag, I'll explain OOC: Yoritomo and the monk who doesn't have a name because I can't remember the family name monks take in Rokugan are trying to catch the Stiletto Guild for the Goblins. So they're trying to capture one of these assassins, preferably without being killed themselves.))

Two ninjas are killed, and one is knocked off-balance. seeing that this is a trap, the rest flee.

The kama bite into the necks of a pair of ninja, the lethality of Samurai training too hard for Yoritomo to break. They fall dead. The monk's blow knocks a third prone. The other two flee the trap.
The monk and Yoritomo move to restrain the off-balance ninja before he can flee.

A goblin wearing a jacket and a paddy cap enters the square and looks at the scene quickly hiding behind a stal on the far end of the plaza.

He mutters to himself:
Whats going on here?
