no, it's fighter friday.Except the 5e Fighter is pretty damn awesome. Give a day to a class that actually warrants some complaints.

People still complain about it anyway, just because it exists and sometimes that's the only requirement to complain about something.

It makes perfect sense to me in the most convoluted way. To me Friday is Stir-fryday, Stir-fryday is from Archer, Archer = Ranger. See?

well there is a 10 page discussion in general roleplaying about why games let you play things other than wizards...

Nope, that works. Ranger fridays it is.

Archery wise, as noted in the maneuevers thread above, a battle-master fighter completely outperforms an archery ranger.

And if you're looking for casting, a valor bard also outperforms the ranger by a long margin with the added kick in the teeth of being able to take the ranger's best spells and use them better and more often.
