All the starting class packages are summoned to fight in a massive free for all. This event is replayed 100's of times to see who would win the most. None of the class packages know each other before hand. Who would win?

Thoughts?

I don't know, but if I may suggest:

Instead of playing a battle 100 times over, just make it a math exercise. If someone has +3 to attack and deals 1d6+2 damage on a hit with 19-20 x2 crit. If the person he is hitting has 16 AC, that means that 60% of the time he will miss, 30% of the time he will simply hit, 10% of the time he will threaten, but only confirm 4% of the time (so the proper "hit" is 30%+leftover 6% = 36%)

So out of every 100 attacks, he will miss 60, hit 36, and crit 4. And his average damage on a hit is 5.5, or 11 for a crit.

So out of every 100 attacks, he will deal 60*0, 36*5.5, and 4*11, which averages at 2.42 damage per attack (not per hit).

Simpler than rolling a battle 100 times IMO, and will get you more accurate results.

Starting packages can't make attack rolls, so the point is somewhat moot.

Do FR starting packages get to be involved? When you throw in regions and the like you can start with some pretty nice stuff.

Then I was mistaken in regard to what starting packages are. I assumed they were those pre-built lv 1 characters from a specific class you find in PHB, which can make attack rolls.

Since that's not what they are, then what are they?
