PF and 3.X classes

I decided to make this a new thread since it really has nothing to do with feats. Anyways. My players have asked to play as Pathfinder classes in 3.5 but refuse to play Pathfinder. I, as a relatively new DM, am not sure if the classes really mix to well.
My best player has advised adding their classes that have no 3.5 direct copy, or adding them all but make Pathfinder versions of 3.5 classes a variant (makes little sense with some since Pathfinder only improved upon the classes; looking at you Monk).
I favor adding the unique class of pathfinder to the game, would this work reasonably well?

I can vouch that they generally work well in the opposite direction, at least - I'm a DM who allows a lot of 3.5 content into a PF campaign.

Lol for some reason my players out right say no to playing Pathfinder at all....yet they want the feats and class of that game added t 3.5 lol and ok i will take your word on it.
