Elune's Shop - Services in alchemy and herbalism

Description:
In the woods, there is a hut belonging to Elune. It is a large place, which is three stories high but entirely made of wood. Vines and creepers wind up the sides of the house and it almost completely blends in with the background. Should you enter inside, you will notice a strong smell of dried ingredients. The ground floor and basement are used as storage for various pots of ingredients. Out the back is an open, covered area, with a selection of cauldrons for mixing the ingredients. The other two floors are residential, and not included in the shop. At the front doors, there is a sign between two trees. One tree is a slender Ash, the other a wide, strong oak. The sign reads:


Services in alchemy and herbalism - Wait here for assistance.
Any herbal ingredients and remedies available on request.
Please speak to Elune Sharrowdale, the owner of this establishment, for requests about poisons and venoms.

The trees do not like intruders. Beware!
Personnel:
Elune: The whole shop belongs to Elune. She takes special queries and does most of the brewing of potions.
Landaro: Second in command. He has similar knowledge to Elune and as a team they work very well together.
Karaki: Gatherer and alchemist-in-training. He helps Elune with other, general jobs around the place. A valuable asset to the shop.

Holly and Ivy: Should you wait at the sign, then you will notice that the two trees are actually treants, called Holly and Ivy. They are kind and helpful, and although often a little slow to react, do their jobs well. They serve customers as they arrive, and may also help to guard the hut when Elune is away.

Other Information:
There are no set prices. It really depends on what has been asked for. It may take time for more expensive potions to be brewed, but there is usually a full supply of more commonly-used potions available. Most ingredients are found in the woods themselves, but require special expertise to be useful. A few ingredients are found in different environments, such as the desert of mountains, or have to be specially ordered from elsewhere.


Elune is currently hiring people to help with brewing potions and collecting ingredients.

Karaki enters and looks around.

[Baeleck]

Inside there are aisles and aisles of pots filled with some very odd looking things indeed. It is quite dark, so not much can be made out, other than a few jars that glow with an eerie light near the back. There is the sound of light footsteps from below, as Elune comes up from the basement.

Ah, a visitor! I'm Elune, the owner of this establishment. Can I help you?

Karakio smiles.

"Urm yes, I wanted to ask you if you needed someone to help. Like, is there a job position free?"

[Baeleck]

Elune gives a warm smile.

Indeed, I do have some job positions free.

She gets out a notebook and a quill.

Tell me, what knowledge do you have of alchemy?

[Exachix]

"Well, I how to make some alchemical compounds. I have, on occasion, made Alchemist's Fire. Antitoxins are just beyond be though." He smiles. "I tried, on occasion, to make my own potions, but that didn't turn out to well, I can try again at some point though."

[Baeleck]

Elune thinks for a moment.

I'm sure I can teach you some of what I know... I doubt we'll have many customers yet. This place is only just up and running.

She gives another smile.

For now though, you can help me gather components in the woods. I've still got quite a few things I need to get hold of.

She opens her mouth to say something, but then thinks again.

You're Karaki, aren't you? Mychasi has mentioned you to me.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

"Karaki, yes."

He smiles.

"What are you looking for?"

[Baeleck]

I've still got some lenya to gather but I can get that myself. Not many people know about lenya.

She scribbles something down.

Mistletoe, I need plenty more of that.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

"So Mistletoe."

[Baeleck]

Yes, that would be good. I... I'm not overkeen on climbing.

She smirks.

I like to stay down on the ground.

She quickly goes through a door to her left, and returns with a sickle and a bag.

I hopefully won't need much more. When you've filled the bag, come back here and store it down in the basement. It'll be obvious where it goes. I've got to go a far way deeper into the woods to get this lenya.

She goes to leave, but then stops.

Oh, how much money were you hoping for? I wouldn't want to get you doing a job if you didn't think the pay was right.

[Exachix]

Karaki shrugs.

"I don't mind. Whatever you think would be good." He smiles and heads for the door too.

[Baeleck]

I give 2gp an hour. I like to think that's quite generous, but I suppose it's in my character.

A portal opens behind her, and Shal appears through it.

He's pewking blood. Gimme something to make it stop.

Elune rolls her eyes, then trots along an aisle and finds a small vial of bluish liquid.

Give him that. Now.

The mephit grabs the bottle and takes it through.

Hopeless...

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"That was weird."

[Baeleck]

Oh trust me, those mephits and 'wierd' go hand in hand. Anyway, let's get going.

She steps outside into the forest and heads off in a seemingly random direction. She calls to Karaki as she goes.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds and leaves the shop.

[Baeleck]

Elune arrives back at the shop, a little out of breath and bruised. Ivy becomes animated and slowly plods towards Elune.

{Sylvan} What... happened? I saw smoke... Are the trees ok?

{Sylvan} Sorry Ivy, that was my fault. I got attacked by assassin vines... I don't know what I was thinking, I tried to attack them with a fireball.

Holly comes up next to Elune.

{Sylvan} Is it under control now?

Elune nods. The trees return to their positions. Elune waits out the front.

[Exachix]

Karaki enters soon after, and smiles faintly.

[Baeleck]

Elune gives a smile back, and then opens the door.

Come in, I'll get us something to drink.

She indicates for him to go up the stairs as she heads for some shelves at the back.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles and goes up the stairs, and looks around.

[Baeleck]

Elune comes upstairs with two cups of herbal tea. She places them down on a low coffee table in the centre of the room, picking hers up and siping it.

((Ok... I think I should get some food too. =) be back after))

Karaki smiles and picks his up and sips it.

[Dartonus]

From the mountains, you can see a mushroom cloud rising from the direction of the rally.

[Baeleck]

Elune looks out the window.

Ugh, not again... that happened yesterday!

She sips on her drink.

[Exachix]

Karaki looks out the window.

"Uh-oh?"

[Baeleck]

Elune braces herself against the shockwave that follows.

[Exachix]

Karaki looks over at her, then at the cloud.

[Baeleck]

Elue waits expectantly for the shockwave, but it doesn't come. She breathes a sigh of relief.

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms.

"Weird."

[Baeleck]

Yeah, I know what you mean.

She sits back down and finishes off her tea, placing the tea down.

So, are you going to stick around, or shall I pay you now?

[Exachix]

Karaki shrugs and sips his drink.

"I don't mind really."

[metakirb]

an Alimbic warrior walks in and starts looking around.

[Baeleck]

She mutters to herself.

Hmm... Maybe I should go check on Bae...

She looks up at Karaki.

I think we'll call it a night.

She takes 5gp out of her pocket.

The extra's for helping me out with that... tricky situation earlier. You have my unluck to thank for that.

She gives a smile.

Have a good evening.

She gets up and opens the door for Karaki.

Outside, Ivy goes up to the warrior.

Can I... help you?

He looks up

Do you have anything to help my concentration while i meditate?

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"The same to you too."

With that he goes out of the door.

[Baeleck]

Ivy looks blankly at him for a moment.

Ah, why yes, of course. Give me a moment...

She roots herself to the spot and closes her eyes. A few seconds later, she pulls a small vial out the ground. It is full of a pearly white liquid, which ripples.

You will only need a small amount of that to aid concentration... That will be 35 silver... if you please.

Ivy then nods to Karaki as he leaves. Elune waves him farewell from the front door.

he takes the potion and heads back to his ship

Ivy grasps the silver coins and again roots to the spot. She deposits the coins in a safe in the basement, and then walks back over to where she normaly stands. Elune walks up to her.

{Sylvan} What did he want?

{Sylvan} Something to help him meditate.

{Sylvan} Ah, so you gave him-

Ivy is suprisingly quick to react.

{Sylvan} Yes, I did.

Elune blinks for a moment, before closing her eyes. A portal opens next to her, and Shal pops his head out.

Thank goodness. You're back. Come through.

Elune steps into the portal and it closes behind them.

Elune arrives back at her hut from town, with a firm grip on Mychasi's arm.

Grr... why can I never make a damn grapple check...

They go inside.

[Baeleck]

Elune emerges from the hut after a long day of sorting through her stocks of ingredients. She takes some time out, laying down outside and relaxing.

[Exachix]

Karaki nears Elune's Shop.

[Baeleck]

Holly sees Karaki after a short moment, and walks up to him.

Good evening, Karaki...

She stands and sways in the wind for a moment.

Have you come in... search of more work?

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Only if there is work that needs to be done. I don't want to hinder people really."

[Baeleck]

Holly thinks for a while, probably about a minuite or so.

There's not much to do now... A few things that need sorting which Elune hasn't got around to yet. She's been down there all day...

Holly points over at Elune, who is laying spread-eagle on the grass.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

"I'll get on with that unless you have some other idea."

[Baeleck]

Holly simply nods, implying that that's probably what Elune would want. She becomes stationary again.

[Exachix]

Karaki wanders in and looks around, trying to work out what would need to be done.

[Baeleck]

There are some boxes of bottles down in the basement. They are all similar sizes, but contain various different substances. Some of them have already been grouped depending on what they contain.

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms and begins to sort them out unto what they contain.

[Baeleck]

A short while later, Elune wanders into the basement, suprised when she sees Karaki.

Oh! Hey, when did you get here?!?!

She goes up to him, and hangs a lamp up on a hook to provide more light (The basement is rather dark). She then helps to sort the bottles.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Not long ago actually."

[Baeleck]

Elune nods.

Ok, that's fine. Did the treants tell you what to do?

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds and shrugs.

"Well, sort of. Just said there was a few things that needed sorting, so I got on with it."

[Baeleck]

Well, they don't usually talk much at all... at least not in Common.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Ah well, I knew what to do."

[Baeleck]

Elune continues to sort for a moment, and then remembers something.

Oh, I have something for you... Wait here. I'm sure it will prove useful.

She quickly totters up the stairs.

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms and continues to sort.

[Baeleck]

Elune returns, carrying a slightly battered book under her arm. She takes it over to Karaki and blows of any excess dust. A bottle in the corner, already half-full with fine particles, automatically sucks the excess dust up.

This book belonged to me when I was studying herbalism. I'd like you to have it.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles and takes the book.

"Thank you very much for this."

((be back after food))

[Baeleck]

((Ok))

Elune takes the last few boxes of bottles and sorts through them, not saying much other than mumbling to herself.

[Exachix]

Karaki comes back to Reality and watches as Elune finishes.

[Baeleck]

Elune places the last few bottles in their places. She then turns to Karaki.

One more job for tonight. Help me take these boxes outside and round the back.

Elune picks one up, and proceeds upstairs. She calls down as she reaches the top.

They're probably not that heavy, you could easily hold three I recon... It's just that I'm old and feeble!

She gives a small chuckle, and heads outside.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles and picks a box up and takes it up the stairs and out.

[Baeleck]

Round the back of the hut is a selection of caldrons set over fires. Many are bubbling away with unusual liquids in them, and the smell may make Karaki rather dizzy. Elune however, has grown accustomed to this.

Just here...

She places them down near the wall, and heads back in to retrieve more.

[Exachix]

Karaki tries to suppress the dizzyness, puts a box down, and leans against the wall, a hand over his eyes. He then turns back to get another box.

[Baeleck]

Elune doesn't notice Karaki's dizzyness, and continues to ferry boxes up to the top. She then pauses at the door.

Hmm...

She has an idea.

{Sylvan} Holly, Ivy! Come take these boxes round back!

She then indicates for Karaki to put the boxes by the door.

This'll get the job done quicker...

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

"Hmm? Ok."

He starts to move the boxes up, even though he doesn't know what Elune says (he doesn't speak Sylvan).

[Baeleck]

Elune smiles to herself as she brings the last boxes up.

Phew...

She passes them to Ivy, who takes them round the back.

That'll do for today, I think. There might have been more to do, if there were more customers...

She looks a little disappointed.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Well, as far as I know, isn't this the second day up? It's not fair to expect people to know we exist yet."

[Baeleck]

She becomes a little more enthusiastic.

Ahh... I suppose so. I'm sure there'll be more need for our medicines soon.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"True."

[Baeleck]

Holly and Ivy reappear round the corner.

{Sylvan} Anything else you want us to do?

Elune thinks for a moment.

{Sylvan} There might be one thing...

She turns to Karaki, a hint of excitment and anticipation in her expression.

How would you like a ride?

The treants can be seen slightly smiling at each other, knowing where this is going.

[Exachix]

Karaki blinks.

"A ride? What do you mean?"

[Baeleck]

Ivy stoops down and Elune climbs onto a comfortable branch. Holly also bends down, inviting Karaki to sit.

I mean a ride... through the woods.

She grins as Ivy stands up again, elevating her high into the air.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Okay. Thank you."

He carefully climbs onto one of Holly's branches.

[Baeleck]

The two treants lurch away, into the woods.

Later, Elune and the treants return home.

[Exachix]

Karaki nears the shop.

[Baeleck]

Ivy spots Karaki and calls for Elune. The elf comes out of the house with Mychasi, and heads towards him. Mychasi flies right up to him.

Hey! Nice to see ya, Karaki!

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles at Mychasi and Elune.

"Hello! How are you both?"

[Baeleck]

Brilliant.

Yeah, Baeleck's better now! Some elf guy healed his wound... They're enjoying soup in his hut with some fire-person called Shilea.

Elune raises an eyebrow.

Who?

Mychasi just smiles to himself.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Ok then."

[Baeleck]

Elune rubs her hands together a bit, for no good reason.

How about yourself?

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"I'm ok."

[Baeleck]

Elune nods.

There's not too much work that needs doing today, I'm afraid to say. I could always give you a bit of teaching on alchemy and the like... round the back?

Mychasi yelps.

No, not round the back! The fumes makes my head spin!

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles to Mychasi, then nods to Elune.

"They kinda make my head spin too. But Sure."

[Baeleck]

Elune disappears round the back, but then comes back out front with a small cauldron and places it on the grass out front.

There's always a sollution to that problem, Mychasi.

She winks.

((Brb, my dinner is ready))

[Exachix]

((Ok)).

Karaki smiles.

[Baeleck]

Elune begins to add various ingredients, simple ones for a healing potion that Karaki probably recognises. Mychasi, getting bored, flies off to Trogs.

((For when you get back online))

Elune finishes teaching Karaki the various potions envolving different fungi, which is what she specialises in. She packs up, and gives Karaki her regards before going inside.

[Exachix]

((Sorry I had to go))

Karaki smiles and learns well. He gives his regards as she goes in and wanders back to town.

[Baeleck]

Elune waits outside, with Shal and Ethrai hovering nearby, talking with them about something.

[Exachix]

Karaki nears the shop and smiles to Elune.

"Sorry I'm late."

[Baeleck]

Elune barely notices Karaki, as is to engrossed in conversation with the mephits.

...thought he would never get near someone like that... a Fire Gensai, you say?

Yeha, I think so... explains the flaming hair...

Well... he might well be cured. I have to say, it's great news...

Shal notices Karaki, and raises his voice at Elune.

Hey, the Elf guy is here! Are you gonna give him something to do or-

Elune glances up.

Oh! Sorry Karaki, didn't hear you arrive... Come, I need some help brewing something...

She has a cauldron set up on one side of the house.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

"What do you need help brewing?"

[Baeleck]

Elune doesn't looks os sure herself.

Some... person came to me late last night... Said he neded a potion brewed in a particular way out of particular ingredients. He certainly had some nasty wounds on him... I'm suprised he wasn't dead. I couldn't even tell what race he was, or maybe, used to be. Probably either a gnome, dwarf or halfling, he was quite short. And he had a mask, that's right...

She ponders to herself for a while.

He gave me this in return.

She pulls a large diamond from her pocket. It glints in the light from the fire beneath the cauldron.

He obviousley wants the potion done as soon as possible...

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms.

"Oh, hmm."

[Baeleck]

Elune pulls some shadowstalk out of her pockert and sprinkles it in. The mixture hisses a little, and lets off a large amount of black, swirling steam, which rises in a thin spindle into the air.

Can you grind up some of the roots I've left to dry on that line...

She takes a small vial of thick liquid which very much resembles treacle or honey. It makes a gurgle as it enters the pot.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds and does what he's asked.

[Baeleck]

Elune continues with the potion. She keeps adding shadowstalk and the thick yellow liquid until the mixture begins to become a pale green. She then stirs it, waiting for the root to be added.

[Exachix]

Karaki finishes and takes the ground roots over to Elune.

[Baeleck]

Elune takes the root dust and sprinkles it in. The smoke is instantly sucked back into the pot and the liquid reduces immensley. What's left is barely a pint of the liquid, which is now clear and sparkles with a slight shimmering light. Elune pours it out into a bottle, and then holds it up, marveling at it.

Hmm...

[Exachix]

Karaki looks at the liquid.

"What does it do?"

[Baeleck]

Judging by the ingredients, it's some sort of healing potion, but at the same time, and anti-curse. Those roots also stop decay, but other than that I can't really see the function of it...

She pockets the item.

Hopefully he'll be around to pick it up soon. Then we'll see what it does.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

"Yes."

[Baeleck]

Elune goes over to the cauldron. There is blackened gunk burned to the inside.

Eww.

She gives a flick of her head to Shal and Ethrai, and they fly over.

Yuh-huh?

She tilts the caludron on it's side, the open part pointing towards the mephits.

Breath-weapon it.

They both obediently do so, and freeze the blackened stuff. She then kicks it hard with the flat of her foot, and most of it crumbles and falls out. All three grin slightly.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles.

"Interesting Method."

[Baeleck]

Elune grins and takes the pot to where it is usually stored. She then comes back out front to Karaki, thinking of what other jobs there are.

Ho-hum...

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles, waiting for what more jobs that need doing.

[Baeleck]

Elune then thinks of something.

I've still got a few posters for this place that need putting up around the town. That'd be helpfull. I'll get the rest of this stuff packed up...

She begins to clear up any of the materials that she hadn't used and begins to put them back where they came from.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles. "I'll go do that then."

He picks up some posters and heads back to town to distribute them.

[Baeleck]

Elune, after tidying up, decides to go collect more ingredients in the woods.

Hmm... I could use some more weavergreen...

She begins to wander off.

[Landaro]

Noiselessly, Landaro steps out of the undergrowth and slowly approaches the hut. He looks around to find the owner of this place.

Hello? he asks carefully.

[Baeleck]

Holly strolls up to the stranger, her branches creaking slightly in the wind.

Hello... Can I be of assistance?

Ethrai thinks he recognises the voice, but continues to talk to Shal. he then gets a tingling sensation as Baeleck calls for a portal. He vanishes off. Elune then also returns from the woods, and Mychasi flies in form the town. They do not, however, notice each other. Mychasi flies inside but Elune stays outside to marvel at the ariafrost she has.

[Landaro]

Landaro looks up at the treant.

Ahh, hello. I just walked by a noticed the hut. Yes, maybe you can help me.

He takes a quick glance at the notice above the entrance.

What kind of shop is this? And if possible, I would like to meet the owner of this place, if this doesn't cause you any inconvenience.

Landaro is apparently totally accustomed to talking with trees or tree-like beings.

By the way, my name is Landaro if I am allowed to introduce myself.

[Baeleck]

The treant groans a little, but her facial expression doesn't change.

Landaro. I... do not believe Elune, the owner of this shop, is around at the moment. This place... specialises in alchemy and herbalism. I could show you round if you want...

The treant slowly turns on the spot, and guides Landaro towards the entrance.

((Gah, I've gotta make a move now. I'll be on tomorrow.))

[Landaro]

Landaro follows Holly, watching everything with interest.

Herbalism and Alchemy you say? He thinks for a while. Maybe I could work together with ... Elune. I am quite practical in a similiar field.

After another moment he adds: In case she is not around I think I will wait for her if you don't mind. I am not really in a hurry.

((np, I should get some sleep as well, see ya tomorrow))

[Baeleck]

Elune comes around the front of the house. Shal and Ethrai follow, and instantly recognise Landaro as they see him.

Hey, it's you again!

Elune looks at them quizically.

You've met him before?

Ethrai gives a nod.

He's Landaro. He was the one who helped Baeleck.

Elune pauses for a moment, before quickly going up to Landaro.

Thank you so much... They say you're the one who healed Baeleck. Even I didn't know how to do that...

[Landaro]

Landaro is a little surprised, by this welcome. He didn't expect, to see the two mephits again so soon. Also the fact that the name Elune sounded familiar suddenly makes perfect sense. He bows slightly.

I only did my duty, Miss.

When he get's up and recognises her elven face he brightens up visibly.

Apparently there is no need to introduce myself, sister. He hesitates and is unsure whether Elune is accustomed to the ancient form of greeting but then continues anyway. Under the light of the moon, I greet you. He smiles and inclines his head again.

[Baeleck]

Elune gives a smile, remembering well the Elven greeting even though it's been a while since she last used it. She gives a small curtsey.

Can I be of assistance?

[Landaro]

Happy, that the old forms are not yet lost in the past, he relaxes.

Acutally, yes, that is what I came for. But I didn't expect to meet someone like you.

The sound of his voice is unmistakingly approving.

I was collecting a few plants for my research but I forgot to bring a basket. I came to ask whether I could maybe borrow one.

He points to the two young unearthed Kruunak-bushes he set down earlier.

As well, another thought crossed my mind, when your friend told me that you specialise on herbalism and alchemy. Maybe, we could cooperate, share our knowledge and so forth, as I have also some skill with plants and such. I could use someone who knows this woods better than me.

[Baeleck]

Elune is a little suprised at the prospect, but then gives him a grateful look.

I'd be happy for us to work together... besides, I am hireing at the moment. I wouldn't say I knew the wood that well, but I certainly know where to find specific items.

She curls her fingers around the ariafrost in her hand.

As for a basket...

She quickly takes two from the side of the hut, one being for herself.

Here. I was about to go out anyway, I saw a glade of morels yesterday and I hope to find them again so I can pick them for dinner.

She hands him one of the baskets, a thought occuring to her as she does.

Did you enjoy the soup I made? I heard you had some when you went back to Bae's hut...

[Landaro]

It was delicious, but I wasn't able to ask Baeleck to tell you this, as one of them ... he nods in the direction of the two mephits ... told me that he wanted some privacy. I went to the woods and now, I met you.

He takes the basket from her.

I think it's a nice idea to go for a stroll in the forest. I certainly need some silverdew weeds and a few Vassla flowers.

He picks up the two small bushes and carefully sets them down in the basket.

There are some fungi I might need as well, but I alway miss the right ones. For instance a Bluetop.

[Baeleck]

A small smile appears on Elune's face at the mention of Baeleck wanting some privacy, but doesn't mention anything about him and Shilea.

Trust me, I have a keen eye for fungi. I see Bluetops most days when I am in the woods. And I can surely show you where to find silverdew in these forests. Not so sure about Vassla flowers, but we'll probably find some.

She picks up her basket and begins to make her way into the woods.

[Landaro]

Togethr they leave and enter the wide lush greenery of the forest.

You can spot them? That's great, because to me they always move out of sight. Don't know why they are able to move in the first place. But I'll trust your eye, because my supply is really running short.

The Masked One appears suddenly at the front of the hut. His jaw now looks lop-sided and there is a huge dent in his head. This seems to be a minor inconveniece to him, and he approaches the sign. Ivy turns to him.

It's you again... isn't it. Are you here for your potion?

The Masked One, unable to speak properly, speaks telepathically with the treant.

Indeed I have. It is finished then?

Once engaged in this psychic conversation, Ivy can easily reply.

Yes, I have it here. One moment sir.

She uses her roots to get into the basement and finds the potion, bringing it up to the surface.

Elune arrives back, wrapped in Landaro's cloak. Her skin is a pale blue and her hir pure white. She is shivering a little. Holly and Ivy rush over to her, although they don't move very fast at all.

{Sylvan} Elune!?!? What happened...

{Sylvan} Is that... you?

Elune gives no answer and goes inside, heading upstairs into her living area.

[Landaro]

As Landaro is capable of speaking the lanuage of the forests as well, he waits a second to answer the treants.

{Sylvan} We were collecting herbs, when something struck her. From the inside it seems. She told me that her deity has chosen her, but her condition is not very good at the moment. I'll tell you when I know more. She needs rest now, I think.

With that he leaves the puzzled treants and helps her to her living quarters.

When both are inside, Shorodar enters the area and decides to settle in the crown of Ivy.

{Sylvan} If you allow me ...

[Baeleck]

Ivy looks up with dopey eyes at the dragon.

{Sylvan} Gladly, dragon. Sit in my branches... if you would like.

Inside, Elune sits on her seat. She begins to weep to herself, so confused about what is happening. Her tears turn to ice though, and smash on the floor.

Oh... What's happening to me?

[Landaro]

Landaro sits beside her, and he is quite at a loss about what to do.
So often he had called upon the powers of his own deity, Miylanarith, but never had there been any such violent side effect. Of course he was more exhausted, when using Her powers instead of only his own, but he always recovered quickly.

Shorodar carefully slings his long tail around one of the sturdier branches, trying to avoid damaging the treant with his claws.

{Sylvan} What are the tidings of the forest, my friend?

[Baeleck]

I think... I just need to sleep...

She drops off easily, and begins to snooze.

{Sylvan} The trees do not fare so well, dragon... Armies trapse through our forest and fell the trees to they may make thier movements easier... We have to... replant the areas affected...

The treant nods of to sleep, drowsy.

[Landaro]

When Landaro sees that Elune fell asleep he carefully picks her up and puts her down in her bed. He then draws up a blanket, and a second, just in case. That done he he silently exits her room. When he gets out of the backdoor he becomes slightly dizzy. He is accustomed to the typical vapours that linger in an alchemical kitchen, but the fumes he is inhaling now are decidedly stronger than just typical. Shaking his head to clear his mind he comes round to the front, still wondering about how to procede. His senses are not yet restored completely so he misses to spot Shorodar in the crown of Ivy, who just broadcasts his sorrow about the news through the telepathic link.

Landaro picks up the two baskets and enters the shop, to find a cool place and get the ingredients out of the sun. He wants to store them until he knows what to do about the proprietor of this place.

Outside, Shorodar decides that it's high time for a siesta and nods off to sleep, breathing in rythem with the treant.

A cloaked figure with a white smiling mask walks near the grove and hangs around the gates.

Elune awakens next morning, feeling far better. She is still not used to the cold which eminates through her body, but she puts it out of mind. She goes into her kitchen and makes a quick breakfast, as she hasn't eaten for a while. She heartily eats it and then cleans up after herself, before tiptoeing downstairs and leaving the shop, trying not to be noticed. She gives a quick glance at the man at the gates, then makes her way into town.

[Dartonus]

The man at the gates laughs and disappears.

[Baeleck]

Elune arrives back at her hut. She goes inside and creeps back upstairs, returning to her room as if she had never left. However, shortly afterwards, Shal tells her that Mychasi requires her in the tavern. She goes via a portal. She returns again a while afterwards, with Mychasi.

Somewhere in the shadows of the shop, the DTZ around Landaro withdraws. After collecting his senses togehter he leaves the shop to see what happend in his mental absence. He now finally spots the small sleeping form of Shorodar in one of the treants' crowns. He decides to not wake him up and rather look after Elune and whether she recovered a little since yesterday. Weaving a small shield to protect him from the strong fumes, he heads up and knocks on her door.

Elune, are you awake? He asks carefully.

[Baeleck]

((Ok, hope you manage to get it sorted.))

Elune makes her way downstairs, Mychasi following close behind. She opens the door, and gives a smile.

I'm awake, yes. I've been out and about today...

She scratches the back of her head a bit.

Um, listen, could you look after my shop for a little while? It's just that I need to return home to find out why what has happened to me is so...

[Landaro]

Landaro is happy when he sees that she regained a good amount of her health, bur grows thoughtful at her proposal.

On principle, yes, but there are several things I have to take care of myself. My new house for example.

He thinks for another moment. Well, if those treants stay around and if it suffices to drop by, once in a while, I could do it.

Subconsciously, his hand suddenly touches the Drakan Sigil around his neck and a nice idea sparks in his head.

Something just crossed my mind. And yes I have an idea as to how nobody will trespass on your grounds when both of us are away.

There is a mischievous sort of smile on his face.

[Baeleck]

She thinks when he mentions he has to think about his new house.

I suppose I could ask Karaki...

She taps her chin with her fingers. She then hears his other suggestion, and replies with a good deal of curiosity.

While both of us are away? How do you propose that will work then?

[Landaro]

Well, I found a few allies recently, which I didn't expect to come across. He taps the amulet around his neck. I know of two silver dragon clans, that will assist me, when I should need them. I could certainly ask them to send one or two who could guard your place and instantly inform me of anything that might happen.

If Karaki could help out as well that would be great of course.

The dragons would also provide a means of fast travelling as well I think.

Landaro waits for Elune's reaction to this proposal.

[Baeleck]

Elune nods, impressed that Landaro should have two clans of dragons at his disposal.

That sounds like a great idea.

She then thinks again. She concentrates and begins to shape a huge block of ice, experimenting with her new powers. She forms a humanoid shape, with rough, angular edges and engravings. It then sparks into life.

Ice golem. I've decided that my new powers are great.

She grins, as the golem guards the door.

[Landaro]

Nice work, though a little cold to my taste.

Landaro is obviously impressed by the ease with which Elune created the golem.

But it seems that coldness and ice are you favorites, hmm? An amused smile lightens up his face.

Ok then, I think you don't have to worry. I will inform Karaki of everything, when he shows up, in case you are already on your way by then. When exactly are you intending to leave, anyway?

By now, Landaro is casually leaning against the outer wall of the hut and enjoys the warm sun on his face, while he tries to ignore the cold that the golem emanates from his right.

[Baeleck]

Well, I suppose that's what comes from helping someone who is afraid of fire, and worshiping the Elven god of ice. Besides, it runs in my bloodline.

The golem shuffles around a bit, seemingly patroling in front of the doorway.

I was planning to leave as soon as Baeleck returns... but who knows when that will be...

She ponders to herself for a moment.

[Landaro]

Landaro thinks for a while. Maybe he is still at his hut. After another few moments he adds: Anyway, there should be way to conatact him if you know each other so well.

Landaro continues to lean on the wall. When he studies Elune for a while he more and more comes to the conclusion that she really is an impressive personality.

[Baeleck]

I think I know where he is... It's just - I'd rather not interupt him...

Elune shakes her head a bit, giving a sigh. From near the door, Mychasi flies out, not noticing the almost transparent ice golem in the doorway and bumping straight into it.

{Draconic} Agh! What the hell!

He flies round the huge construct, eyeing it suspiciously.

[Landaro]

Ok, so I guess we rather wait for him to show up, huh? That's fine with me, as long as you don't mind my presence. A knowing twinkle can be seen in his eyes.

When the small dragon makes his entrance, Landaro turns around and raises an eyebrow at the small wyrmling.

{Draconic} We've met before, haven't we?

[Baeleck]

Of course I don't mind...

She smiles a bit. Mychasi turns to Landaro, and gives a small nod in greeeting.

{Draconic} Ah, hello, elf. I see you are fluent in the language of the dragons, then?

His draconic is much better spoken than his common, but this is to be expected. Over on one side of the hut, Bealeck and Shilea step out of the portal, but niether Elune or Mychasi notices straight away.

[Landaro]

{Draconic} Apparently yes, although my knowledge of why is still rather sparse. It seems I was born with that talent.

The emphasize he puts on the word 'born' gives the impression that Landaro isn't sure whether he was born at all, at least in the way it is normally understood. Then something else comes to his mind. He points to the Draken Sigil.

{Draconic} Do you know what this is? ((Don't know whether you've read his background info and the events where Landaro was awarded the Sigil, a few pages back in the current wood-thread))

Landaro intends to find out more about the artifact, for his own knowledge about it is still relativly small.

Mychasi, not having been born into dragon culture, looks at the amulet. There's something special about it, but he can't put his finger on it.

{Draconic} Uh... I can't say I do. Looks strangley... familiar though.

He shakes his head a bit. Suddenly, they all get caught in dead time, apart from Mychasi, who manages to move out the way just in time.

{Draconic} Dang.

[Exachix]

Karaki approaches the shop again, late. Very Late.

[Baeleck]

He will notice there are various people outside, all stuck in dead time. Elune is there, but looks very much different from last time Karaki saw her. She is begining to stir, however, trying to break free of the dead time.

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms.

"Strange."

[Baeleck]

Elune finally brings herself out of dead time, gasping a bit.

Oh my... that is a strong area of it...

She looks around to see Baeleck and Shilea also caught in suspended animation, as well as Landaro and the two mephits. She sighs.

Typical, just after he arrives...

She then sees Karaki, and flusters a bit.

Oh, Karaki... Please don't tell me you've been waiting around for ages...

[Exachix]

Karaki shakers his head.

"Nope."

[Baeleck]

Elune smiles.

Oh, that's good. How long have I... what day is it?

A hawk circles overhead, looking down at them.

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms.

"Wednesday. Why?"

[Baeleck]

She looks a little alarmed.

Oh, that's like... five days! I wonder whether Mycha-

She stops mid-sentence as she sees a familiar but unexpected visitor aproach.

{Elf} Lycande?

The other elf looks at Elune, almost as suprised.

{Elf} Elune?!?!

The DTZ from behind Elune engulfs them both suddenly, and might even engulf Karaki if he doesn't move.

((I gtg for today.))

Karaki gets caught.

[Baeleck]

Mychasi leaves the hut. He sees that two more people have got caught in the DTZ.

Huh. That thing's getting reeeeal annoying now.

He flaps cautiously around the outside, careful not to be absorbed into it as well. From above, Feniar, the hawk, swoops down in front of Mychasi.

Hey, dragon!

Mychasi looks up as Feniar lands on the ground.

What do you want?

I must know what is going on here... Why is Elune all icy like that?

Mychasi raises an eyebrow.

You know Elune?

Sure I do, I'm her sister's animal companion...

Mychasi then remebers the young elven woman in the tavern. He also sees she is one of the ones caught in dead time.

That's why she looked so familiar... Which sister? Panchesi? Sidahan?

Mychasi recites as many sisters as he can remeber Elune telling him about.

Lycande.

Oh, right, the youngest one.

Anyway, back to my question...

Uh... it may take a while. Care to fly?

Feniar thinks a bit, then gives a nodding gesture, and randomly flaps his wings.

Righty ho.

Mychasi begins to fly into town whilst explaining Elune's story to Feniar.

A short time later, the DTZ begins to retreat a bit...

Karaki is released from DT and looks around.

[Baeleck]

Elune and Lycande are also released, and the DTZ still shrinks backwards slowly. Both of the elves look a little confused, but Lycande is the first to speak.

{Elf} Elune... what...

She then goes down onto a knee in respect and gives a low bow. Elune goes up to her, indicating for her to stand again.

{Elf} You're a chosen... how did this happen? This is such a suprise!

{Elf} It was even more a suprise for me... I have no idea how it happened...

Lycande examines Elune closer.

{Elf} I have to say your visit is also rather... unexpected.

{Elf} I could sense something was up, so I came to find you.

Elune smiles a bit.

{Elf} What about eveyone else? Could they?

Lycande shrugs.

{Elf} I don't know. They didn't mention it.

{Elf} Hmm...

Lycande then notices Karaki, then remebering him vaguley from the tavern the day before.

{Elf} Is he a companion of yours?

Elune has almost forgotten about Karaki in the strangeness of the situation.

{Elf} Oh, he works for me.

Elune smiles over at Karaki.

[Exachix]

Karaki smiles to Lycande.

"Karaki at your service."

[Baeleck]

Lycande nods respectivley at him.

Pleased to meet you, Karaki.

She looks back to Elune for a moment, and then thinks on something.

{Elf} I wonder where Feniar's got to...

{Elf} Feniar's still with you! My, he must be getting old for a hawk now!

{Elf} Oh, yes. But he's still active as ever.

She chuckles a bit.

{Elf} Well, shall we go find him?

{Elf} Lets...

Elune then looks over at Karaki.

Will you come with us? I don't think there's much to do... and it's probably not wise to have customers here with that hanging around...

She indicates to the DTZ.

[Exachix]

karaki nodds.

"I will."

[Baeleck]

The three of them head for town, Lycande leading the way.

Later, they arrive back, apart from Karaki.

{Elf} ...don't intend to go back down there any more. Stupid vines.

Elune nods to Holly and Ivy.

{Sylvan} Hey, seal off that area of dead time, will ya. Just so no one else gets stuck in it.

Brambles form around the area. Elune then heads inside after the others.

[Dartonus]

A large, Acorn-shaped object falls from the sky and lands somewhere in the mountains with a large crash.

[Baeleck]

The DTZ around Baeleck, Shal and Ethrai retreats even more, so only Landaro and Shilea are caught in it. Baeleck shakes his head, and gives a gasp.

Oh... How long have...

He stumbles out of the thicket of brambles around the area, with the mephits following. He sees Holly.

Holly!

The treant looks up at him, smiling.

Ah... Hello, Baeleck. I see you have broken out of dead time...

Yes, thanks. How long have I been stuck?

Ivy looks up.

Urm... about... five days.

By Aryn that's a long time! Where's Elune... I must speak with her!

She went into the forest yesterday... I doubt you will find her...

Baeleck mumbles a bit, then peers back towards Shilea. He gives a sigh and looks at her sadly.

{Auran} Tell me if they come out of dead time, will you Shal?

Shal's eyes widen.

{Auran} What! I'm on watch duty now! You...

He growls a bit.

{Auran} Sorry Shal, but you do what I say. Wait here.

Bealeck's stomach grumbles a bit.

{Auran} Ethrai. Tavern, I'm starving.

The mephit obligingly makes a portal. Holly is about to say something else, but is too slow, as Baeleck and Ethrai disappear.

[Baeleck]

Tham'che and Craig make their way out of town on horseback, and pass near to Elune's hut. They slow, noticing a large ice golem stuck in dead time, next to an Elf and a woman who looks like her hair is on fire.
{Undercommon} "Hmm. Interesting."
Tham'che dismounts from her horse, and walks towards the golem. Suddenly, the two trees next to the path come alive and rise up, staring down at the Drow.
"Can we help you, Drow?" says Holly, looking down at them both.
"Um... yes, you can. What place is this here?"
"This is Elune's hut. She specialises in alchemy and herbalism."
Ivy points to the sign. Just then, Feniar flies over, seeing the two and stopping near dead in his tracks.
"You..."
Craig looks up at the hawk.
"Sorry?"
Feniar scowls at them.
"You're Norcaine, aren't you!"
Tham'che also looks up at the hawk.
"Please tell me you're nothing to do with that balor. Or those other Drow."
"For your information, I've travelled here from Tirganach, with my good companion Lycande."
"What!?!?"
"There's another follower of Aryn here!"
"Wait, another?"
"The name 'Baeleck Tarmikos' mean anything to you?"
The hawk's eyes widen.
"Uh..."
"Come here, hawk..."
Feniar moves slowly closer. The two treants have dropped back off to sleep.
"Yes..."
Craig snatches the hawk up in a bag. The bird flails about inside, but can't escape. The two Drow then turn back towards town, galloping away fast.

Elune steps up to the shop, looking concerned. She waits for the others to catch up.

[Exachix]

Karaki enters with Lycande and Baeleck.

[Baeleck]

{Sylvan} "Hello Elune..."
Elune glances over at Ivy.
{Sylvan} "We had some visitors earlier..."
{Sylvan} "We fell asleep before we knew what they wanted..."
{Sylvan} "Are they still here?"
Elune quirks an eyebrow.
{Sylvan} "Doesn't look like it... Who were they?"
{Sylvan} "Two Drow on horses."
Elune just smacks her forehead.
{Sylvan} "Great. The people we've been looking for."
She turnst ot the others.
"Come in everyone. I'll get us some food and drink, then we'll see about Fen."
She leaves the door open for them to go upstairs, but she disappears down into the basement. Lycande leads Karaki in, and Baeleck also follows.

[Exachix]

Karaki follows Lycande, and looks around, remembering the place.

[Baeleck]

Lycande sits down on one of the seats, moving across and curling up a bit, leaving a space for Karaki to sit down. Baeleck lays Fen down on the table in the middle of the room and then finds himself a chair, pulling it up.

[Exachix]

Karaki sits on a seat by Lycande, and hugs her.

{Elven}"Don't worry Lycande."

[Baeleck]

Lycande clings tightly to him, closing her eyes and trying not to think about it.

[Exachix]

Karaki just holds her, trying to comfort her.

[Baeleck]

Elune comes back up with food, drinks and a small vial of liquid. She offers the food around, first to Baeleck, who takes a bowl of soup of the tray... he really does like elune's soup. Lycande just sticks out a hand, not wanting anything. Elune then moves it round to Karaki.

[Exachix]

Karaki just gets a bit of bread. You can't have soup without bread, and nibbles on it.

[Baeleck]

Baeleck indicates for Elune to come back over, and grabs a pices of bread, not having noticed it before. Elune then takes the tray away, and comes back in, kneeling by the table.

[Exachix]

Karaki sighs and looks at Lycande with a concerned look in his eyes.

[Baeleck]

Elune tilts the bird's head back, and pours the vial of glittering blue liquid down his throat. Nothing happens.
"That is very odd..." Elune says.
"What is?"
"It's like... he hasn't got any constitution... at all."
Baeleck raises his eyebrows, before also giving Lycande a worried look.

[Exachix]

Karaki sighs and watches.

[Baeleck]

Elune bites her lip and shakes her head. There is a long, awkward pause. To everyone's suprise, Lycande is the one to break it.
"It's probably a good thing... he was getting rather old." she says bitterly.

[Exachix]

Karaki looks at her and then sighs.

[Baeleck]

Baeleck gets up, and after hesitiating a little, takes the hawk in his hands and carries it out. Lycande sniffs a bit, and an icy tear smashes on the floor, from Elune's eye.

[Exachix]

Karaki sighs and looks at the ground, closing his eyes.

[Baeleck]

The room is silent for a moment, apart from the occasional sniff from Lycande. She hugs Karaki, but with a tenderness and affection Karaki won't have felt from Lycande before.

[Exachix]

Karaki looks at Lycande and wraps an arm around her.

[Baeleck]

Lycande gives a shivering sigh.
{Elven} "Take me home..." she whispers to him.

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds and looks at Elune.

{Elven}"Um, I think we should go home. Sorry Elune."

[Baeleck]

{Elven} "Don't worry, it's ok. You two get going."
Baeleck also stands, and quickly makes his way out before the other two, heading back into town.

[Exachix]

Karaki stands and waits for Lycande to stand.

[Baeleck]

Lycande gets up and makes her way slowly to the door.

[Exachix]

Karaki follows her, making sure she's ok.

[Baeleck]

Lycande goes down the stairs and makes her way onto the streets.

Karaki follows her too the streets, staying close behind.

Lycande nears the shop, and looks round.
"Elune? Hello?"
Elune appears behind them, followed by Umbras.
"Hello, Lycande. Karaki. Give me a moment..."
She invites Umbras inside, and upstairs.

Umbras goes up, and finds a bed in the spare room. Removing his shirt, and then his chainmail, he collapses into bed and falls asleep immediately.

Elune goes back downstairs and looks between the other two.
"Were you looking for me?"
They get caught in dead time.

Umbras awakens, stretches, and gets up. After a few weeks of sleeping in the dirt, a bed is a nice change, he remarks to no one in particular. Walking out of his room, he starts looking for someone. Anyone there?

Elune and Lycande are both stuck in dead time, but Ivy, a treant, peers through a window from outside.
"Come outside..." she says slowly, smiling faintly.

Well, got nothing better to do. The man says, and grins, as he walks outside.

[Baeleck]

Another treant, Holly, is standing on the other side of the door. The both look down at Umbras, smiling.
"Good morning... did you... um... sleep well?"

Pretty well. Better than normal, at least. Noticing how could the wind feels, Umbras looks down and notices he forgot to put his shirt on when he got up. Damn. Ah well, that chainmail is uncomfortable anyway.

[Baeleck]

The treants look at each other and chuckle in an almost inaudiably low tone. The dead time around Elune slowly begins to recede, and then she comes back into reality.
{Elven} "Damn this acursed dead time!" she mutters to herself, not yet noticing Umbras.

Curse it indeed, I'm sure. The almost perpetual smile on his face widens. Any plans for today?

[Baeleck]

Elune looks back over her shoulder.
"Oh, you're awake now!" she exclaims, giving a friendly smile.
"Any plans... not in particular. I need to head back to Trogs to tell Baeleck something, but I'm not sure what I'll do after that."

Let have the day unfold as we go? We should probably get going soon anyway. Come on! He walks onto the Streets.

Elune follows, taking quick steps, onto the streets.

Karaki escapes with her as the dead time retreats.

Lycande looks about, to see that Elune has vanished.
{Elven} "Agh, damn. Hold on."
She looks at the ground closley, and then points back into town.
{Elven} "She went this way."

Karaki hmms and smiles.

{Elven}"Oh."

[Baeleck]

Lycande then turns to the Treants.
"Any idea where Elune might ahve gone?"
After a long pause, Holly relpies.
"Um... She went back to Trogs with that young lad. Umbras."
Ivy then adds to this.
"I sense her presence in the woods, though..."

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms.

"Where in the woods?"

[Baeleck]

Ivy closes her eyes and gives a long, drawn-out 'hmmmm'.
"In the west, in a small glade. There's a... shrine of some sort... an obelisk..."

[Exachix]

Karaki hmms and looks at Lycande.

[Baeleck]

Lycande also gives a 'hmm'.
"Can you take us there?"
Ivy nods quite quickly.
"I can. Hop up, you two."
She bends down and waits for them to get on.

[Exachix]

Karaki gets up and holds an hand out to help Lycande up. All the time being careful to Ivy.

[Baeleck]

Lycande takes his hand and hops up.
"Thanks."
Ivy then strides off into the forest, leaving Holly behind at the shop.

An exhausted and quite possibly frost bitten Umbras pops into existence in front of the store. He walks in, holding a ice blue flower. He walks up into Elune's room and places the flower onto her dresser. Drawing a scroll from his pocket, he casts a spell on the flower, to protect it from being damaged from the heat. Elune, upon returning from wherever she stormed off to yesterday, goes inside and sees the flower on her dresser.
{Elven} "Oh! What a deligtful present..."
She picks it up and pins it to her robe.
{Elven} "I've never seen anything like it... I wonder who it's from. And, more importantly, how they got in..."
She gives a shrug and then goes about making herself breakfast.

A while later, Baeleck, Ethrai and Umbras near the hut. Elune wanders outside, having finished breakfast, and waves to them as they approach.

Umbras waves back, grinning as always. Hello! How are you today?

Elune gives a smile.
"Never better! How about yourselves?"
She is talking to all three of them here.

Pretty good. Deprived of a shirt, though. He grins again. Nice flower, by the way.

"Yeah, we're not bad, either." Baeleck says, speaking for Ethrai as well.
Elune looks down at the flower.
"Oh, thanks. I found it on my dresser this morning, and I don't know who it's from..."
Holly gives a slight, knowing smile from her place in the background, but keeps quiet.

It's pretty. A nice colour, too. So, what happened with our dryad friend?

"I don't know. I left before she got out of dead time. if anyone will know, it'll be Karaki or Lycande."
She smiles and adjusts the flower on her top.

Really? Lycande did not seem to take a liking to her. Ah well. We'll have to go check on her sometime. Mind if I go get my shirt?

Elune smiles.
"No, of course, go up and get it. I put it away in my wardrobe to save space."

Cheers. He walks upstairs, and goes to find his shirt.

Upstairs, in Elune's room, there is a tall, old wardrobe. There is a small key in the lock.

I guess this is it. He walk up, and tries to open it before turning the key. Finding that is locked, he turns the key, opens it, and grabs his shirt. I think I'll leave of the chainmail. It's to uncomfortable. He stuffs it into his pocket and walks downstairs.

Elune is talking to Baeleck when Umbras comes down.
"...wanted to kill them! I told them to just leave us alone!"
"She wants revenge! Be thankful I didn't show them where they were..."

Walking into a conversation he has only heard a part of, he remarks She said something about Fen being killed when she asked about it, at the glade.

Elune gives a sigh.
"Yeah, we know about Feniar."

Well, I don't. I only met her last night. For all we know she could have found and killed them by now. But it isn't my business anyway. I'm only a newcomer here. He shrugs. If I were you, I'd go find them. Just in case.

[Baeleck]

Baeleck gives a concerned nod.
"I think you should. They could be in danger, the Dracon is very powerful..."

If you need help, I'll provide. Hell, even if it is monetary, I can help. Your sister seemed very hotheaded.

Elune nods.
"She is usually quite quiet. But if she sees any injustice, especially against nature, she will speak out about it and correct it how she sees fit. I've seen it before."
"The trolls."
Elune gives a solemn nod.

If I see any injustice against anyone, I correct it myself. I'd like to help. If she has killed them, then I'll see justice is served.

Elune smiles.
"It would be much appreciated. I've got a few jobs to do around here, so if you could go and find them, that would be good."
"I might come with you, but I have things to do as well."

Fine. So, tell me where they were last, and I'll teleport as close as I can, and then walk the rest.

[Baeleck]

Baeleck shrugs.
"I don't know. Your best bet would be back at the place with the dryad. They've probably gone elsewhere, but we don't know."
Elune gives a shake of her head.
"We can't help you there. Sorry."

Damn. I could try to scry them out, though.

[Baeleck]

Elune snaps her fingers.
"I'm being thick. One second."
She forms an ice sculpture of Lycande and Karaki. It shows them making out on their bed.
"Erk! ok, no need to disturb them!" she says, quickly dismissing the sculpture.

A man comes in and says to Holly,

"My name is Shadowbow, a ranger from the south. I have two reasons for coming here. One is that I am seeking true dragonbane. Two is that I wish to learn more about making potions, for as a ranger I studied plants and their properties, but not making the potions."

Holly looks up at Shadowbow, slowly.
"Greetings, ranger... I take it you are looking for a job here... or are at least after some training and teaching in the art of alchemy and herbalism..."
Ivy then calls over to Elune.
{Sylvan} "Elune, someone here to talk with you."
Elune stolls over, looking at the man in curiosity.
"Hello, I am Elune, the owner of this establishment. Can I help you?"

I suppose that means no justice. At least for now. We should leave them. But I CAN find out if the drow were killed.
