Hello, hello.

Um, you see, I'm in the middle of a study of sorts. And for that effect I need some cooperation to compile a few proverbs and sayings from around the English speaking world. I know this can be a little taxing for some, so I'm perfectly willing to provide a custom avatar or signature to the first five people who provide some insight and both for those who are specially helpful.

Only people born (and raised) in English speaking countries can help in this, countries like: America, Anglophone Canada, Ireland, The UK, New Zealand, South Africa, or Australia.

Thank you very much.

I need to know

1) the country you are from, and the region/city/state if possible.
2) A saying or proverb that you have heard from someone in your community.
3) What does it mean?
4) In which situation would you use it?
5) Does it teach a social value? which one?
6) Is it still in common usage?
7) Do you know it's origin?

Thank you so much again and I hope you can help.

Like... "Mad as a cut snake", "Few roos short of a back paddock", "running around like a headless chook", that sort of thing?
