Special Abilities

Heat Sink (Su)
A victim of a Gengar's touch attack takes an additional 2d6 cold damage and must make a Will save (DC 15) or be shaken for 1d4 rounds. A successful save negates the shaken condition and cuts the cold damage in half. The save DC is Charisma based.

Shadowball (Su)
As a standard action, a Gengar may make a range touch attack against a creature within 60 feet, dealing 3d6 negative energy damage. Regardless if the attack is successful, the Shadowball impacts with the ground around the target. Creatures within ten feet of the impact site must make a Reflex save (DC 17) or take 1d6 force damage and be knocked prone. A successful save negates being knocked prone and cuts the force damage in half. The Gengar must wait 1d4+1 rounds after using this ability before they can use it again. The save DC is Charisma based.

Shadow Sneak (Su)
As a full-round action, a Gengar may enter the shadow of an adjacent creature. This is treated as if the Gengar used a Plane Shift effect to travel to the Plane of Shadow, but it may not otherwise move or take any other action. Each round, the creature whose shadow the Gengar occupies is treated as if the Gengar had made a successful touch attack against them. The Gengar heals an equal amount of damage as is dealt to the affected creature. The Gengar may exit the affected creature's shadow as a swift action.

Slayer of Undead (Ex)
Negative energy damage dealt by a Gengar against other creatures of the Undead type is treated as if it were untyped.

Sludge Wave (Su)
As a standard action, a Gengar may unleash a 60 foot line originating from itself. Creatures caught in the line must make a Reflex save (DC 15) or take 2d6 acid damage. Creatures that take acid damage from Sludge Wave must make a Fortitude save (DC 15) or be poisoned (save Fort 15, frequency 1/round for 6 rounds, effect 1d4 Con, cure 2 successful saves). The Gengar must wait 1d4+1 rounds after using this ability before they can use it again. The save DC is Charisma based.

"Under a full moon, this Pokémon likes to mimic the shadows of people and laugh at their fright."

"A Gengar is close by if you feel a sudden chill. It may be trying to lay a curse on you."

"Appears to attack people who get lost in the mountains. Said to be the culprit behind shadows that laugh in the moonlight."

"It steals heat from its surroundings. If you feel a sudden chill, it is certain that a Gengar appeared."

"To steal the life of its target, it slips into the prey's shadow and silently waits for an opportunity."

"Hiding in people's shadows at night, it absorbs their heat. The chill it causes makes the victims shake."

"Sometimes, on a dark night, your shadow thrown by a streetlight will suddenly and startlingly overtake you. It is actually a Gengar running past you, pretending to be your shadow."

"Deep in the night, your shadow cast by a streetlight may suddenly overtake you. It is actually a Gengar running past you, pretending to be your shadow."

"It is said to emerge from darkness to steal the lives of those who become lost in mountains."

"On the night of the full moon, if shadows move on their own and laugh, it must be Gengar's doing."

"It hides in shadows. It is said that if Gengar is hiding, it cools the area by nearly 10 degrees F."

"Lurking in the shadowy corners of rooms, it awaits chances to steal its prey's life force."

"The leer that floats in darkness belongs to a Gengar delighting in casting curses on people."

"To steal the life of its target, it slips into the prey's shadow and silently waits for an opportunity."

So, since LostDeviljho has been making Pokemon races, I felt inspired to make my favorite Pokemon into a monster.

Mind you, I haven't made a monster in forever...so...sorry if this one isn't properly balanced.
