This could also be done with a Druid, with the right Archetype...

Feats:
1: Boon Companion, Boon Companion (you'll have to take a different feat, then retrain at level 2 to make this choice).
2: Outflank (bonus)
3: Boon Companion
5: Boon Companion

So, at level 5 you have 5 animal companions. Four of them are treated as level 5 animal companions, one is level 1.

Oh, and you have other class features and stuff.

It has the amusement of being an entire party for one or two levels. Then it rapidly drops off. Could make a great boss NPC though.

It's good in E6, but there are, honestly, archetypes which can do this for all the animal companion classes (Except cleric).

And honestly, I'd dump a Boon Companion to get combat expertise so you can grab pack flanking as a bonus teamwork feat.
