well, it looks like whenever we get the psion class, it'll use wisdom for its spell stat.

Well for the old psionisist wisdom was the primary casting stat and it was for the 3.5e psychic warrior. Granted just because it is wisdom based for this creature does not mean that the so called psion class will be the same (assuming that is a class this time around) as there could be more than one psionic class and each one could have a different casting stat.
