Epic Blade Operant (www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?103016-Secret-Agent-Man-PrC). A little odd to be make an Epic Progression for someone else’s Prestige Class I know, but I really like this class, and want to try my hand at progressing it. Crit-focused, yet with a new twist on using the crits as a resource though Blood in the Water makes it a rather unique class that I simply love, and I hope to keep this uniqueness and expand on it with my Epic Progression.

Kill Chain
At level 11, the Blade Operant see’s how to use the death of enemies to create openings against those still alive. As long as you are in a martial stance, you gain the benefits of the prey on the weak stance. For each +4 bonus from blood in the water, you may extend range of its effect by 5ft. If your bonus from blood in the water is greater than +12, you may increase your reach by 5ft for attacks triggered by prey on the weak

Ruthless Knowledge
At level 12, the Blade Operant’s battle-fury as take on a new turn, allowing them regain knowledge they had previously forgotten. If your bonus from blood in the water is greater than +6, the Blade Operant treats all level 1 Tiger Claw, Dancing Leaf and Ongoing Storm maneuvers as known, and they can be used without being readied or expended. For additional each +6 bonus from blood in the water, increase the level of maneuvers by 1, up to a total of level 4 maneuvers.

Devastating Blows
At level 13, the Blade Operant no longer simply uses critical hits to build on his battle-fury and fuel his powers, but increases the power and likelihood of landing them. The Blade Operant increases the critical hit modifier of any weapon he wields by 2.

Arrogance Supreme
At level 14, the Blade Operant learns how to cower even the most fearless of enemies with a near contemptuous ease. Whenever you confirm a critical hit on a melee attack during your turn, the enemy you damaged must make a Will save, DC 10 + 1/2 your initiator level + your Intelligence or Wisdom modifier, or be frightened for the duration of the encounter. Enemies immune to fear are still subject to this effect, but with a +4 bonus. If the bonus from blood in the water is +16 or higher, then they automatically fail the save. This does not stack with other fear effects.

Push the Blade
At level 15, the Blade Operant learns how to use his critical strikes to open up large, bleeding wounds on his enemies. Whenever you score a critical hit on an enemy, you may force them to take damage equal to base weapon damage+strength modifier+intelligence or wisdom modifier, times the weapons critical hit modifier, for a duration equal to 1/2 your Blade Operant levels. You cannot use this ability if you are not in the blood in the water stance or if your bonus from it is less than +16.

Lethal Cascade
At level 16, the Blade Operant has learned how to deepen his battle-fury and fall into it much quicker, building on itself to become bigger and bigger. Whenever you threaten a critical hit, your bonus from blood in the water increases by 2 instead of one. In addition, for each +8 bonus from blood in the water, increase the critical threat range of your weapon by 1. This applies before effects like Keen or Improved Critical.

Swift Retribution
At level 17, the Blade Operant ability to make counterattacks increases significantly. Whenever an enemy makes a melee attack against you, their attack provokes an attack of opportunity automatically. Additionally, you can chose to make this attack automatically threaten as a critical hit. Using this effect decreases the bonus from blood in the water by 8. You cannot use this ability if you are not in the blood in the water stance or if your bonus from it is less than +8.

Dual Stance
At level 18, the Blade Operant’s ability to use the blood in the water stance in conjunction with other stances as allowed him to learn how to balance two stances at once and gain the benefits of both. You can have two stances active simultaneously. When you use a swift action to initiate or change your stance, you can initiate or change one or both stances.

Epic Swordsman
At level 19, the Blade Operant’s training knows no limits in what they can do with the blade. They can use the Legendary Swordsman Class Feature an additional time per turn for each +12 bonus from blood in the water. They may sacrifice 3 usages of the Legendary Swordsman class feature, in order to initiate martial maneuver with an initiation action of a full-round action.

Mobility Supremacy
At level 20, the Blade Operant learns the most powerful ability of his order, how to use his battle-fury as a fuel for extra actions within a small space of time. By decreasing the bonus from blood in the water by +6, he may take an extra swift action, by decreasing the bonus by +12 instead, he may take an extra standard or move action, and by decreasing the bonus by +18, he may take an extra full-round action. He cannot use this ability to reduce his bonus from blood in the water by more than 30 in a turn.
