Hello!

Is there any way for a monks unarmed critical strikes to do more then *2 dmg?

I believe there is a monk prc in Draconomicon that jacks it up to x3. And maybe that Dragon Compendium class, whatever it was called. Those are the only two methods I know of that don't involve some more complicated stuff.

3e had the Weapon Master PrC, I think.

The Weapon Master PrC was originally printed in Sword and Fist, though it was revised to 3.5 as the Exotic Weapon Master PrC (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20050110x).

Note that the class's ability to increase a weapon's critical multiplier only functioned a limited number of times per day.

Yeah I ended up DndTooling it and saw that, completely not worth it.

The Monk prestige class is Initiate of the Draconic Mysteries (Draconomicon, pages 131-133). They don't get Deadly Strike until level 9 of that PrC.
