Eldritch Invocations

I've been reading up on the warlock and I can't figure this out: Do spells you can cast from Eldritch Invocations count towards the total spells known? For example, if you choose Armor of Shadows, do you have to know the Mage Armor spell, or it's essentially an extra spell?
