I've never liked having Spell Resistance because it blocks beneficial spells as well. This is why I love the Holy Aura spell (which on gives spell resistance against spells cast by evil casters).

I'm wondering though, are they ANY other ways to get specific/situation SR in D&D or PF? Any items or spells or feats that only give you SR against a specific type of enemy or spell?

Spells like Mystic Aegis work too, since you only get the SR when you need it.

There is the spell immunity spell which gives you unbeatable spell resistance vs. one particular spell.

I have a vague recollection of a spell that does the same thing for an entire school of spells. That might have been 3.0 though.

Yeah, I think that's about it. Plus a couple dispel-based magic items, or Spellblades.

Did you really triple-post-bump within under twelve hours? Give it time, seriously.
