Sheer unmitigated genius by some of the best minds in DnD.

NOTE: I'm a frequent backer of Kobold Presses patronage products. It's possible I might be biased.

It has a beautiful cover but there is no way I'm going to spend 20 dollars on a multi-system book (considering I didn't even know the other system existed).

The 13th Age stuff is almost an afterthought. It's actually a d20 system of it's own, just distilled. Very distilled.

The 13th Age entries server as an excellent introduction to players who may be scarred of all the setting material.
