Can revivify spell be used on the pile of dust a PC would be reduced to by a successful disintegrate spell?
The spell description says:
Before the soul of the deceased has completely left the body, this spell halts its journey while repairing somewhat the damage to the body.
Would "repairing somewhat" also apply to turning a pile of dust back into a whole character at -1hp? (It would presumably work on a decapitated character.)
I'm thinking of using revivify as a contingent spell, so that if my character is every reduced below -9 hp, revivify is cast and I'm stable at -1 hp.
I'm trying to word the contingency carefully, so it applies to all likely deaths. Disintegrate rays have been used by our opponents a lot lately.
