Human Paragon 3

Challenge is simple. Take a feat from the PHB and base a character concept on it, then pick a new feat for the poster below you to use. Feats may be repeated.

Since I'm OP, I get to pick my own feat to start with, and I'll pick Elemental Adept.

Character Concept: The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

A tempest domain cleric who defeats enemies by yelling real loud. Select Thunder for your Elemental Adept damage type, and you're 90% there. Suggested race: Hill Dwarf for the wis and con. Suggested background: Sailor.

The Story: A priest of the storm god who's been hired by the navy of a great kingdom to destroy enemy ships with the power of thunder.

Poster below must base your character on the feat Observant. Go!

I've actually been considering taking this on my character so I'll post it.

Concept: Rai'un. Variant Human Monk/Warlock taking Alert and Observant

Rai'un is basically a ninja, his senses are honed to a razors edge and using his stealth, agility, and spell like powers he is an incredible spy, scout, and master of shadows. He is able to notice the smallest details and discern the truth of most situations.

story: Raised in a prestigious family of a secluded clan, rai'un spent the majority of his young life training and honing his skills in the wilds, now he must flee his home protecting a precious artifact from rival clan assassins. He is ever vigilant and will not be caught unprepared.

Burgess Winnington - "Problem Solver" Diplomat/Spy

Human (Variant) Bard (College of Lore)

Master Surgeon Daros Flint, lvl 10.

Magical healing means that few men actually bother to understand disease or injury - which itself is often magical in origin. However even in lands where magic is mistrusted or the priest hood is arrogant and aloof, medicine struggles, with anyone taking too much interest in the functions of the body becoming a target for rumors of necromancy. Daros was one such "visionary" of the medical field, chased from Amn after one too many corpses disappeared from local graveyards. With an insatiable curiosity, Daros turned to adventuring in the hope of gleaning new knowledge from long dead civilizations or the spilled bowels of the party Barbarian. Lacking a more magical healer, his party has since found Daros' knowledge of how to properly set a bone - or the correct way to backstab a bugbear - invaluable.

Elthanos Narimato

Wood Elf Assassin Rogue, Sage background.

An elf of samurai lineage, Elthanos instead decided to take on the cunning ways of the ninja. He uses his superior senses to stalk enemies from a distance, then spring upon them from the brush and strking with his ancestreal katana, wielded with deadly precision (making a 70 foot charge, 90 with mobile taken later).

Hmm medium armor master that is a hard one

Number 17

Half orc, battlle master fighter 10, assasin 10, soldier

The child of a human slave and the stealthiest of orcs 17 was bred to be a scout. The second he was born he was put in armor, and the second he learned to walk he was tought to be stealthy, and to fight. Every second of 17's life has been spent on a mission or training, and therefor he has worn armor every second of his life, and it acts as a second skin. Now he works as an elite scout for the orc army, and he is ready to fight.

Mage Slayer, has to be Shadow Monk

Jon Jon, Variant Human Shadow Monk with Mage Slayer (and no other feats). Takes two levels of rogue at some point for the cunning action to make absolutely sure he stays next to his target.

Jon Jon was slated to become the youngest master in the history of his monastery. On the day of the ceremony, a wizard attacked and destroyed the place with a meteor storm. Jon Jon was the lone survivor. Arcane casters do not have the wisdom to know their place in the world, and flaunt their power with no consideration for others. Jon Jon will teach humility to every mage he meets, if he does not kill them outright.

After 14, he has proficiency in every save, and plenty of stat increases to shore up any weaknesses. Mage slayer ensures that his target's spells will almost always fail against him as long as he can get to them first. Evasion and high AC prevent evokers and sorcerers from landing damage against him. Shadow monk ensures that he gets the drop on his target and prevents him from being tracked. And stunning fist targets wisdom, which is a very low save for most arcane casters. Should his target somehow escape him, by taking to the air, teleporting, or taking a trip to the ethereal plane, Jon Jon will hide and wait for them to return.

Next: Shield Master.

Maurice Milne, human variant duelist eldritch knight with the folk hero background
A large and burly black man who keeps his trusty flail and shield with him at all times, Mautice likes cooking with a campfire, long walks on the beach and pushing people over with his shield.

next feat: mobile

Human Paragon 3
2014-09-21, 09:23 PM
Battle Master Fighter with human variant to take mobile at level 1.

The concept: A consummate skirmisher, this character excels at harassing enemies and retreating out of their reach. She uses a pole arm and long bow with equal efficiency, taking advantage of great strength and great dexterity.

Maneuvers such as distracting attack, maneuvering attack, and commander's strike let her continually open up weaknesses with her harrying attacks, making her group proportionally stronger while she slips away from enemy attacks.

Modeled after the parthians and other classic skirmishers of antiquity.

Next feat: Tavern Brawler.

Brunilda Sledgehammer

Have you met an angry drunken dwarf lady? Well, meet Brunilda. She's the nastiest, thoughest and strongest patron in all Inn-Town. She also has a sort of a halitosis problem, but trust me - you don't want to tell her about it.

Her hobbies include smashing bottles on grognard's faces, arm-wrestling and knitting (DO YE HAV' A PROBLEM WITH ME KNITS?).

Next feat: something useful, like... uh, Magic Initiate?

Tavern Brawler:

Mordenfelt the Magnificent, wizard and drunkard extraordinaire!

Mordenfelt didn't have the advantage of some cushy wizard school with standardized tests, petting zoo class, and a frequent danger to life and limb! Oh, no, he had to work hard for his knowledge! He grew up on the mean streets! Where you had to walk uphill seven miles to get to class in a back alley next to a filthy hobo who ate pigeons! And he was your only friend!! Because he taught you how to catch pigeons! You were hungry, damnit!!!

On these mean streets you can't rely on law and order to watch your back. Not when you can't afford basic cable! You have to survive on ol' lefty and arthritisy, the only real friends you had. Who didn't smell like feces. Mordenfelt fought his way to school every morning, then fought his way home every night. And now that he's a full wizard he'll just keep on fighting!

Magic Initiate

Human Variant for 1st level feat, Outlander Background.
Barbarian, later multiclassed to Sorcerer (white/silver dragon).
Cantrips are Minor Illusion and Eldritch Blast.
1st level spell is Armor of Agarthys.

Svell Jotenlad is a proud tribal warrior who has braved the frozen seas in seek of battle and fortune as soon as he could walk and carry an axe. Blessed by the frozen gods of snow, storm and death he has many abilities he can call upon against the enemies of the tribe. Some say his father was a legend and his blood is empowered by those of giants, but Svell knows the truth. His powers ultimately comes from a long line of servants of the queen of snowstorms and dragoness of the north, to whom all the tribes bow in respect.

Hardly a optimized character, but still should be fun to roleplay at lower levels.

Dextrous, wise, and intelligent, he is also friend to a variety of helpful animals, some of which he has reared and trained, others he has summoned with magic to do his bidding. Between his potent ranger casting and innate skills and divination rituals, no query can hide from him.

Next feat: Actor

Calin Galanodel
Half-Elf Entertainer Warlock, Archfey Pact
1st-level Invocations: Misty Visions and Beguiling Influence

A preternaturally talented actor, Calin was the toast of the city-state of Elloniel in such plays as "The Eulogy of Baron Kurrick" and "Three Cheers for Master Quark." Calin's fame was such that he joined a diplomatic mission to the neighboring Elven city, styled Starspire in Common, in order to perform for the Elf King Melirion. Calin's unerring imitations of the Elloniel royal family was the only good thing to come of the mission, however; King Melirion's delight meant Calin's life was spared while his knights slew the diplomats.

Calin remained a prisoner of King Melirion, picking up the basics of magic while putting on nightly performances for the court. When the Fey Lords arrived to Starspire just after his 18th nameday, Calin was called upon to perform the role of the Cloud Giant Farach, the protagonist of "Five Mountains, Five Gulches," for the distinguished guests. A High Lady of the Fey, Palmeria Betwixt the Peaks, fell in love with the beautiful actor, and appeared in his cell that night. No great friend of King Melirion, she offered Calin his freedom if he would agree to serve her. Moved by the Lady's beauty (and the opportunity to be free of the tyrant Elf King), Calin accepted, only to wake up in an Inn across the plane from Elloniel, Starspire, and the entire world he knew before.

With his newly forged relationship with the Lady Palmeria, Calin's craft has reached a new level of perfection. Using his invocations and his collection of costumes (and the occasional silent image), he has become a supernaturally talented mimic and speaker. His new home, however, has no taste for the performing arts, forcing him to find a new path in life, a path that may be being laid by his new ruler, a High Lady with plans of her own for the gorgeous actor now sworn to her.
