Posting Guidelines

Please use the present tense when referring to your actions.

Anything with a chance of failure, ie, something you need to roll for, please post as an attempt, rather than a resolved action.

Ahavel stabs at the goblin leader!

Please roll attack and damage together to save time

Attack - (1d20+10)[19]
Damage - (2d4+8)[12]

In combat, please keep posting to Initiative order

In your combat posts, please write a brief summary of your actions for this turn in a spoiler tag below your main post

A trap! I suspected as much...

Kotung doesn't lose a second as he darts toward the nearest goblin, freeing his falchion as he moves. He raises the weapon above his head and brings it down with great force as he reaches the wretched creature.

Attack - (1d20+8)[18]
Damage - (2d4+12)[20]

Move action: Moving to E4, drawing weapon as part of movement. Standard Action: Attacking goblin in E5, Power Attacking for 2.

Or...

A trap! I suspected as much...

Kotung dashes into the bushes as he hears the great beast roar. He stares hard at this new foe, and casts Flesh to Stone (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/fleshToStone.htm).

Move action: Moving to B6. Standard Action: Cast Flesh to stone, targeted at the big nasty thing. Fort DC 22.

It's very handy to link the spell if it's one from the SRD, otherwise, try to give a basic description of the effect in the summary. For Flesh to Stone, for example: Target:One creature, Fort DC22 or subject is petrified, SR: Yes
This way I can respond to your posts faster, and keep combat flowing more smoothly.

"Speech should look like this. In your chosen colour, and surrounded by quotation marks."

Internal monologue should look like this. In your chosen colour, and in italics.

((OOC: Out of character comments should be formatted like this, and inside spoiler tags. I don't discourage the use of these in the IC thread like some DMs do. Sometimes you catch something that needs to be pointed out before people post further and make the mistake worse, and not everyone is checking the OOC thread before every post.))

Sometimes I will post information that is only to be known by particular characters, like this.

Character Name
This is for things that only that particular character knows at this time. If you feel you can keep your knowledge and your character's knowledge well separated, you can read these for other people's characters. But if you would rather enjoy the mystery, avoid these.

Don Lorenzo and Sentinel

Your march through the jungle is largely uneventful, and your Drow guides keep almost exclusively to themselves, only ever speaking to you with orders like "Rest now." or "March now.". Uneventful, that is, until early morning on the third day of marching, when the normal din of the jungle is suddenly torn apart by an enormous roar. Split seconds later, a dark green and brown striped tiger bursts into your vision, a swarm of angry locusts in pursuit.

The tiger falters in its step as it notices you, slowing just enough to allow the locusts to catch and engulf it. Another massive roar tears through the air and the enraged beast launches itself at the nearest Drow, slashing him deeply with a swipe of claws. The inured Drow seems to ignore the pain as he slashes back at the tiger with his long knives, both slicing through the muddy fur. His companions act in the same instant, knives flashing as they strike the beast.

Dirk and Xyshi

You arrive at the rendezvous spot you arranged with Myrynth. It is now mid morning, the day before you expect the attack forces to arrive. As you sit waiting in the jungle, there is a sudden whoosh of wings as an eagle alights a few feet in front of you. In moments, the eagle grows and changes, becoming a familiar tall Drow woman.

"Well?"

Myrynth asks,

What have you to report?
