So I am running a one shot module and of course I need to convert something to 5e. But I have not run any one shot modules before and don't know any good ones. Originally I was going to do we be goblins, but sadly their is no goblin race, and I don't want to force players into 1 race. So what modules do you think convert well?

I am currently converting the story line from Diablo 1 into a level 1-4 adventure. If my group likes it i'll try the much more difficult task of converting diablo II and maybe even III and there expansion packs into a 20 level campaign.

i googled and came across this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?204213-Adventure-ideas-for-a-D-amp-D-one-shot), this (http://www.therpgsite.com/showthread.php?t=8398) and this (http://www.dungeonmastering.com/campaigns-adventures/83-free-dd-adventures). i haven't really looked through everything, so i'm not sure how much home brewing there's going to be, but i'm going to assume enough of it.

There's the "Classic Dungeon Crawls" line from... Goodman Games? Something like that. Very old-school feel, might work better with the toned-down nature of (some of) 5e.

Short and free - not really the best foundation for a whole campaign, but it's a good quick and easy adventure. You might want to use actual characters or update the pregens because they're ambiguously between playtest material and stuff from the OGL.

I know the playtests converted some of the most famous modules into 5e, albeit there's some rough stuff that needs to be updated a bit, but they included a great majority of stuff.
