can cryptics actually hurt undead?

Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, patterns, and phantasms). and to my knowlege, cryptics use paters to brand and then hurt their foe. am i wrong in thinking that cryptics can not hurt undead?

They're immune to patterns, not to things that affect their pattern.

Disrupt pattern will still work on them.
