Wizard Build Help

Hello there, Giantitp forums.

I need YOU to help me build a Wizard. What's the catch, you might ask?
He is supposed to be a crafter of magic items.

We use 3.0.

PrCs are welcome.

If he uses Rule of Cool in any way, even if just for appearance, I will be happy.

What about an Artificer (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=2829.0)? They can scribe scrolls for any spell, make nearly any item, and can easily fake being a "wizard".

Like I said, 3.0, because we have next to no access to 3.5 edition books in our language and to not have problems with rest of group, the DM doesn't want to use books in other language, and most of group is in 3.0 so... yeah. Eberron was 3.5.

Come on, Giantitp, I know you can do it. I mean, you can always mention stuff like Persist Spell in 3.0 making the spell be 4 levels higher rather than 6.
