I am trying to build a "paladin" for a lvl 15 game

At first i was just going cleric/ordained champion with a dip into prestige paladin...

But i am wondering if i could invest 8-9 levels into it to get a decent mount.
I could grab celestial mount (easily i need exalted feats anyhow) and 1 or 2 other feats.
Perhaps i am reading things wrong but it seams to me the mount would be pretty weak/squishy.

If i have a "paladin" lvl of 11 what could i do?

P.S. A pegasus or dragon would be awesome.

You can get a pegasus with an effective paladin level of 7. Its advancement will be delayed by 2 levels.

A paladin of 6th level or higher can use a celestial heavy warhorse, dire wolf, hippogriff, Large monstrous spider, Large shark, unicorn, celestial warpony, dire bat, dire badger, dire weasel, or giant lizard as a mount.

At 7th level, the dire boar, dire wolverine, giant eagle, giant owl, pegasus, rhinoceros, and sea cat become available.

At 8th level, a paladin can use a dire lion or a griffon as a mount.

Edit: Your mount level is your Prestige Paladin level + 3, so four levels will do it. You can also take the Dragon Steed feat to get a dragonnel mount, which is basically a pegasus-dragon hybrid.

If Dragon Magazine is allowed, #325 has the Holy Mount feat, which allows divine spellcasting class levels to stack with Paladin.

Cleric 8/Ordained Champion 5/Prestige Paladin 2 would give you 12th lvl casting and a 13th lvl mount.
